On a search for the D.

D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die, a quirky adventure game from the creators of Deadly Premonition, is available for Windows, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 10% launch discount.

From the peculiar mind of Hidetaka Suehiro (or just Swery65), the brains behind 2010's Deadly Premonition, comes D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die, an even more unusual adventure (with a solid PC release!). It all starts as the story of a man with a very strange fate. A man on a tireless search for his wife's killer. A man who can never forget "Look for D.", her last words. And a man who just happens to travel back in time. It's a particular world made all the more particular by the fact that maybe you can't trust your broken mind completely - so when your roommate/grocery shopper cat-lady friend busts into the room just to spit a mouse into your mouth, you may start to wonder. You may have to puke first. But then you may start to wonder. D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die is a unique adventure game set in a detailed and lovingly crafted universe that would be a pleasure just to observe.

You can pick up the Special Edition (or just upgrade later on) to receive the Base Game and all of the following:
- D4: Special Costume Set (12 Beers) DLC
- D4: Special Art Book
- D4: Season One Voice Over Script
- D4: Mini Soundtrack

D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com. The 10% launch discount will last for one week, until Friday, June 12, at 10:59 PM GMT.
I'm definitely getting D4 down the line, maybe even both here and on Steam! Swery deserves it.
Did not expect this game to come out on GOG, amazing! :D
Av...ant-guaaaarrrrd!!!!
Good morning! It looks like a nice game although not my cup of tea.. For some reason or another, the screenshot of the woman with the handgun reminds me of Cybil Bennett. (Silent Hill)

Plan now get this game or near future do I.

Noice.
Playism a.k.a. Active Gaming Media published this. They also released La-Mulana here. GOG, is there any chance you could work with Playism to release Kero Blaster (from the creator of Cave Story, Daisuke "Pixel" Amaya)? The PC version is currently only being sold on the Playism store. Get it before Steam.

While you're here, vote for Cave Story:

Said screw it and went ahead and bought it. Only two games on my wishlist for the summer sale anyways.

Glad to see games like this show up on GOG day 1 and want to support that.
Avant-GAAAARDEEEE!
Bought.
Seeing this game here day one is pretty great - I didn't think it would show up, but here it is!
The game looks pretty gorgeous, but a timer for mouse"swiping" actions is a deal-breaker. Those never go well for me.
What a pleasant surprise!

Quite tempted to pick this up sometime in the future. Deadly Premonition was a bit on the shaky side in terms of stability. How does D4 fare?
That first trailer on the game page... Crazy stuff! Looks interesting.

Unfortunate release date tho, with the summer sales and big kickstarters happening.
Wow -- I've seen people here talk about this game, but didn't expect it to show up so soon.

Normally I'm not a fan of episodic releases, and prefer to wait for the whole game to be complete, but the price of the standard edition is good and I'd like to support the creator(s). Deadly Premonition was just all kinds of... special. :D

Off-topic: What's up with the 10% discount on Pillars of Eternity? Can't help but feel amused by that, when so many other great games are currently discounted 75% or more, especially considering PoEt's high base price.

I suspect this is enough of a "special interest" title that it doesn't really matter. People who like Swery65's work will pick this up either way.

Too soon! :)

It was 10% elsewhere the other day. I personally don't plan on picking it up this year, or maybe even next...
