On a search for the D.

D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die, a quirky adventure game from the creators of Deadly Premonition, is available for Windows, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 10% launch discount.

From the peculiar mind of Hidetaka Suehiro (or just Swery65), the brains behind 2010's Deadly Premonition, comes D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die, an even more unusual adventure (with a solid PC release!). It all starts as the story of a man with a very strange fate. A man on a tireless search for his wife's killer. A man who can never forget "Look for D.", her last words. And a man who just happens to travel back in time. It's a particular world made all the more particular by the fact that maybe you can't trust your broken mind completely - so when your roommate/grocery shopper cat-lady friend busts into the room just to spit a mouse into your mouth, you may start to wonder. You may have to puke first. But then you may start to wonder. D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die is a unique adventure game set in a detailed and lovingly crafted universe that would be a pleasure just to observe.

You can pick up the Special Edition (or just upgrade later on) to receive the Base Game and all of the following:
- D4: Special Costume Set (12 Beers) DLC
- D4: Special Art Book
- D4: Season One Voice Over Script
- D4: Mini Soundtrack

D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com. The 10% launch discount will last for one week, until Friday, June 12, at 10:59 PM GMT.
Got to love past-midnight releases.
Now?
Diablo 4!

wait
Not a bad price, just might have to pick this one up. A question: which is the better version of Deadly Premonition, GOG or Steam? I've been going through bundles to use my Desura keys (still can't figure out how to back them up) and realized that I have a Steam version for DP.

Is the GOG version up to date or are there still problems with the developer and patches?
What about the "SWERY's Choice Costume" DLCs ?
Will they be available on GoG one day ?

There were reports that GOG's lacked the latest patch, but those reports seem to be out of date.

Wellllll this is an interesting release time.
Nice release and interesting release time.

I think I will buy it sometime in the next few days (depending on which deals show up during the summer sale).
Cool, good to see this game released on the first day here as well. Swery65's games are always wonderfully weird.
Glad the discount is for a week. That gives some time to see how much damage the summer sale will do to my funds.

I'm not feeling the special edition for the price, but the base game looks good.
Also nice to see some games bucking the current trend and still providing a free demo to download. D4 demo is available on the official website.

Had to grab this as a big fan of Deadly Premonition, nice to see D4 coming to GOG on day one this time.

The only thing that's kind of bumming me out is the bundling of the Special Edition stuff. I would've gladly dropped a few eurobucks on the art book, but the entire package is a bit pricey for me at the moment, though I can sympathize with Swery wanting to make enough bank to actually finish the story.

The game looks really sick - in a good way....
Maybe i'm just tired but i'm getting a Memento meets Doctor Who vibe from the description.
