...seriously?

Interesting but could be seen as opportunistic.
How does it compare to any other games which deal with the spread of disease on a strategic level?

When I saw the banner I originally thought that Plague Inc was finally released on Gog...

It's for a good cause, don't get your panties into a twist.
So, Plague Inc. next?

Oh, is that so ? for all i know it could just as well be someone using the current situation to line up their own pockets, there are reasons to doubt the quality as well for a game developed in hmm a few months.

If it's for a good cause then opening donations directly to a trusted organization would be more appropriate but giving money first to a dev/pub i've never heard of, no thx.

Incredibly inappropriate and rude. I hope you realize a that not only is there a large death toll but many families are in mourning over their loved ones and people have lost their jobs. I don't know the quality and professionalism of the charity either. I think if a game should be removed from gog it's this one.

Go to hell.

ReynardFox: ...seriously?
I'll wait for the sequel: COVID: Economic Collapse. It'll be a tycoon game.

What's planned for tomorrow, timely riot walksim?

GOG's so arrogant they don't even have a complaints button.

Come on GOG, you can read the room better than this. Do you really think this is what people want to spend money on to wind down from current events? You can't even turn on the TV or watch any news site without getting COVID showed in your face, and you are trying to sell entertainment based on it in the midst of a current catastrophe.

What's next, leukemia themed ride on Disney World?

Go directly to jail without passing go.

I do not like nor understand your argumentation together with the sentence "I think if a game should be removed from GOG it's this one."

I mean, you are not wrong! All that what you described happened to a lot of people all over the world, but this is a video game !

What do you want video games, books, movies be all about? About war? Oh no wait, there were thousands families in the past that lost someone due to war and even today in many areas of the world, people die because of war.
I hope you get what I am saying and do not have to provide more examples, because basically everything that is tragic and or interesting makes for good entertainment in movies, books and video games. Arguing that it is "rude" to build a simulation with the spread of COVID19, is kinda hilarious in my opinion.

Definitely too soon and morally questionable to make such a game even with the low charity donation percentage.

Also the game is very similar to DEFCON: interface, maps, major colors (blue/red) and icons. If they are not the same company, this could lead to copyright claims or legitimate disapproval, it shows anyway that they made it very quickly without original design and copy-pasted basic stuff.

Those offended by this release are free to rate it a 1 out of 5 and drop some lines about how they're offended by this release in the review section for good measure.

There's usually a grace period, hence why modern wars aren't usually covered and a number of games like war in Faluja were cancelled or postponed. There is also a matter of taste, you don't see holocaust simulator even 50+ years after the war or something modern like why not make again about Minneapolis police simulator that you can choke black people to death in and try to get away with it without starting a riot.

Also like to add that GOG didn't add Syrian warfare because they deemed it too problematic but cash in crisis game like this are ok to them.
