Noli turbare circulos meos!

Circle Empires is now available DRM-free, 10% off until October 3rd, 1pm UTC.

Delight in commanding 150+ tiny cartoon units from 18 different factions as they fight fiercely to preserve their own precious circle and conquer that of their opponents. Boss monsters, treasure, fast-paced RTS action on a procedurally generated terrain.
I think we all know too little about GOG's curation process.

If GOG rejects a game, that can be due to lots of different reasons. Maybe the publisher/developer wanted too high a percentage of the revenue, maybe he refused to remove some "features" which are in conflict with the DRM-free policy, maybe there was a last-minute decision by one of the shareholders or a licensing issue, or... or... or...

When the publisher/developer wants to reply to the customer base why the game is not on GOG, he can blame it on GOG then and might give a bs excuse, such as "file upload too complicated" or "they rejected it for being too niche". If the problem is really on GOG's side, then he can only state the official explanation he received from GOG.

As the developer of Opus Magnum found you really have press GOG for an explanation - otherwise you just receive an elaborate "No" for an answer.

That's too bad. I can only guess that GOG hasn't even had a closer look at Opus Magnum at the beginning and just dismissed it as being "too mobile". Odds are that this is sadly also the case for other games...

Opus Magnum is absolutely awesome and everything but a casual game. Must be one of my best GOG-purchases this year. I can understand that at first glance it might look "mobile", but it has so much to offer.
Looks interesting. I like simplified RTSs. Still playing Tooth & Tail.

Also, I'd rather have all games on GoG than having GoG filtering them "for us" by subjective evaluation. Any human can just search through games for something that works for them (if the storefront offers good ways to filter), but if a game is Steam-only (which is the case for thousands of games), you are forced to give Steam money or not play the game at all.

Another would be "The Fall of the Dungeon Guardians", which I think was rejected because they thought nobody will buy it. Well, WRONG!!! xD IMHO an awesome Dungeon Crawler :)
