Noli turbare circulos meos!

Circle Empires is now available DRM-free, 10% off until October 3rd, 1pm UTC.

Delight in commanding 150+ tiny cartoon units from 18 different factions as they fight fiercely to preserve their own precious circle and conquer that of their opponents. Boss monsters, treasure, fast-paced RTS action on a procedurally generated terrain.
This is a fun little game accessible for anyone, good for some quick sessions, and very cheap, less than a movie ticket.

Here is a good review on it. I've seen other game play videos on youtube and I'm happy to see it here too. Bought!
Hmm, sounds intriguing. Seems like a casual RTS game.

Loger13: Allow THIS, but reject Rampage Knights and Opus Magnum? FUUUUUU~
And it's even I'm angry not because of the fact that such a game has appeared here, but because of the fact that games that are several times better, was refused.
You mean this https://www.gog.com/game/opus_magnum ?

Looks like something that would fit nicely on my "quick game" list. Wishlisted for now, because I have other (more time consuming) games I still haven't even tried yet, and getting another "time sink" before I try at least one or two of them is not going to help changing that. (Who am I trying to fool? I will buy it rather sooner than later anyway... But not. right. now.)

Yes, I mean this. Only you missed a couple of steps before: https://www.pcgamer.com/why-exquisite-puzzler-opus-magnum-was-barred-from-gog/
The game was rejected and appeared here later only because the players and the game press made a hype.
The second game, mentioned by me as an example, was less lucky.

Yeah, I don't wanna say this game shouldn't be here, but it's just so disappointing when you know of a lot of cool games that have been rejected (some classic examples: Housemarque's "The Reap" and Image Space's "Zone Raiders", more recently, the dungeon crawlers Das Geisterschiff and Aeon of Sands, wouldn't be surprised if rejection is also the reason half the Night Dive/Retroism and Piko Interactive libraries aren't here).

Ah. Thanks. (I have Opus Magnum, but haven't tried it yet. Still trying to progress in SpaceChem.)

I get the frustration about games you would like to see here not being here. I have a few of those too. But just because a game isn't for you, doesn't mean it's bad. There are a lot of games which aren't for me, but what would dropping by in release threads just to vent accomplish? And even if it were an actual bad game: How would I even know that if I never played it and never will? And why bother if I never played it and never will? (Those are rhetoric questions. I know from personal experience that venting circumvents reasoning ones action beforehand most of the time.)
RTS-lite, with territory control?

Gotta check out some reviews and Let's Plays. Might jump on this one. P

Very nice game. I played the freeware version a year ago. It was very fun, but maybe a bit limited at that time. Though this paid release offers a lot more options.

I would recommend it to anybody who wants to play a bit easier, simplified RTS game. But its still very fun.

Also for those who mention curation - > you obviously never tried this game.

AlienMind: there is no curation
Yes, absolutely. Or better, there is a really twisted curation. A lot of really good games were rejected (like Unexplored or Rampage Knights) and tons of low quality games are released here. Really makes you wonder if they are throwing dice to decide (and that's the favorable assumption) what game is allowed or not...

You absolutely did not catch the point, so you write in a way that is not connected with my message.

I did. "And it's even I'm angry not because of the fact that such a game has appeared here, but because of the fact that games that are several times better, was refused." Your words (in post nr 15). But I see we disagree and will continue to do so.

fisk0: Huh, don't want to be that guy, but having heard of GOG rejecting numerous games I'd love to have here (like a whole bunch of dungeon crawlers in the past two years), or for that matter the whole "Opus Magnum looks like a mobile game" thing, it's really surprising to see something like this slip through.
Yeah I don't get it as I said in another thread. It was one thing when it was big titles. But now it's these small keep me busy for an hour bits on a weekly basis yet good games get rejected.
So GOG is opening the gate to "mobile games"?

Maybe that means the like of Opus Magnum (which wasn't anywhere close to a mobile game) won't get rejected out of hand in the future...
