Sometimes, all the world needs is a firestarter.

Candle, a heartwarming puzzle-adventure about an unassuming hero who must start some fires to save his world from burning, is available now for Windows, Mac, and Linux, DRM-free on GOG.com.

Not all heroes need to be iron-clad machines of death in order to make a difference. Candle tells the hand-painted story of Teku, a young tribesman who must save the village shaman from the evil Wakcha people. In this mystical land with the strong South-American flair, having a left hand shaped like a candle is all Teku needs to light his path and illuminate the dangers lurking there.
The world is getting consumed by evil and these beautiful watercolored environments are now filled with traps, puzzles, and whimsical encounters that will challenge Teku's resourcefulness and observational skills every step of the way. Will his unique firestarting ability prove enough or will darkness swallow him whole?

Travel to a wonderful but troubled land and bring a spark of hope with your handy Candle, DRM-free on GOG.com.

The 10% launch discount is no longer available. It was due to a misunderstanding on our part and had to be removed - apologies to anyone affected.

IAmSinistar: Damn, I really like the look of this! It's like an Amanita adventure set in a world of Uriah Heep and Yes album covers.
That pretty well gives away your general age category. ;D

I don't know about the "crusty" part, but other than that... =D
this looks solid, thanks
gorgeous artwork, not sure about the game play, wishlisted until I can see more reviews

pordeciralgo: Yes, just a couple of days before the devs sent an email to backers saying it was a multi platform (Windows, Mac, Linux) release. I guess the Mac & Linux release will take some days longer, but I'm sure they'll deliver.
Thanks for the info. That game looks right up my alley.

Fairfox: Steam gets teh OST and Artbook as DLC. Another GOGie non-show or just late-show? Either wayz, I don't like these shows :/
Steam also got a Mac version.

That said, a Linux version would be nice. Holding my money back until then.

Well, I'll own the "old" appellation, at least in comparison to the demographic here. :) But I think I've done a creditable job of keeping up with the times. It probably helps that for a number of decades my tastes and attitudes were ahead of the times.

Oh, and it shouldn't need saying, but you kids stay off my lawn! :D

Damn it, I have to know what is that music from in that trailer for this game?!?

I feel like I KNOW this melody, and that it is some kind of a popular tune, but I cannot place it at all. And my girlfriend, who knows pop music front to back, says she's never heard this tune before.

So what's the story with that tune? If it isn't from a hit song, then it should be made into one.

Just in case you didn't notice it - you can spend your money now:

Update (14 November 2016)

Added the Mac & Linux version of Candle to everyone's accounts.

Sadly not the artbook and soundtrack yet.
Exactly what I needed for gaming after work :)

Added the Mac & Linux version of Candle to everyone's accounts.
After the introductory sale has ended!!

That's a bit unkind, GOG. I wish you would have held it back a few days to release it on all platforms together.
