Sometimes, all the world needs is a firestarter.

Candle, a heartwarming puzzle-adventure about an unassuming hero who must start some fires to save his world from burning, is available now for Windows, Mac, and Linux, DRM-free on GOG.com.

Not all heroes need to be iron-clad machines of death in order to make a difference. Candle tells the hand-painted story of Teku, a young tribesman who must save the village shaman from the evil Wakcha people. In this mystical land with the strong South-American flair, having a left hand shaped like a candle is all Teku needs to light his path and illuminate the dangers lurking there.
The world is getting consumed by evil and these beautiful watercolored environments are now filled with traps, puzzles, and whimsical encounters that will challenge Teku's resourcefulness and observational skills every step of the way. Will his unique firestarting ability prove enough or will darkness swallow him whole?

Travel to a wonderful but troubled land and bring a spark of hope with your handy Candle, DRM-free on GOG.com.

The 10% launch discount is no longer available. It was due to a misunderstanding on our part and had to be removed - apologies to anyone affected.

Damn, I really like the look of this! It's like an Amanita adventure set in a world of Uriah Heep and Yes album covers.
I thought the game was postponed to monday in GOG due to today being Poland national day.
Glad to see it's here already.

And I just redeemed my kickstarter key.

Disappointing to see that the soundtrack and the art book aren't available, especially since it's such a lovely game. :(
Beautiful looking game.

Creep looking protagonist. :P
A game I'd love a demo for - to see if it would run on my Vista machine.
Man, that's an awful lot of releases for a sales week.

Silence should launch next Tuesday. *giddy* I'll just wait until then. I have yet to be disappointed by Daedalic's adventures, even when it comes to their earlier less polished games.

My goodness, this looks exquisite!

Everyone should watch the "making of" video (which has sensibly been included with the trailer on the game page):

I was waiting for this and could indulge in an early buy as I didn't even binge-buy in this fall sales. I'm just waiting for some positive feedback about gameplay and early reviews.
Ooops I spoke too early. Another game I'll save for my next, more powerful pc. What an eye-candy it is though.

+1.
It's such a good thing that Daedalic keeps releasing all its games here! I got all their point-and-click adventures.
It's a pity that Pendulo Studios - another great studio who makes adventure games - went into the wrong direction. Their latest game "Yesterday origins" was released yesterday on Steam and is protected by Denuvo (DRM). It was hacked on the same day! Some people mentioned in the comments - it's sad when a small studios spend their hard-earned money on DRM.

Yes, I'm glad too that Daedalic releases their games DRMfree here, even though it's sometimes time-delayed.

This is one of those games, I would have bought without asking what kind of gameplay it has; just to enjoy this piece of art.

Now I hope that we will also get the DLC with art-book and soundtrack. !!! HINT-HINT !!!

I waited also for Yesterday Origins - it seems I have to wait a long time now until it becomes a Good Old Game without DRM.
Sigh. I was sure this had said it was for Linux, but I see now it's just Windows.

I was about to cave and buy without reviews just for the art, but I guess I'll wait to see if additional platforms are added. I was surprised to see that this was a Unity game (I'm always surprised when 2D games are using Unity), but that at least suggests that a Linux release is a possibility...

Yes, it's unfortunate. It's not up to Pendulo, though. They were never a publisher, and they even ran out of business a little while ago. They were recently resurrected by Microids for their new game. But even their previous games weren't self published; Focus Home Interactive did that.

Just remarking that Candle is not developed by Daedalic -as Silence is-, but by Teko Studios. But Daedalic's track record with their third party adventures is also pretty interesting: Dead Synchronicity, Anna's Quest, Stasis, Randal's Monday...

Yes, just a couple of days before the devs sent an email to backers saying it was a multi platform (Windows, Mac, Linux) release. I guess the Mac & Linux release will take some days longer, but I'm sure they'll deliver.
