Well this looks interesting.

Nice to see a classic release! Wishlisted.

Well that doesn't look "too niche" at all :D
The self-proclaimed "High Priest of LSD", who at one point apparently also was working on a CYOA-style Neuromancer "mind movie" video game adaptation of his own, "which was to have included graphics by Keith Haring, music by Devo, photographs by Helmut Newton and writing by William S. Burroughs".

Been a while since I last played a Zork-like text adventure so thanks for the opportunity to try out a, to me at least completely new one, GoG & Moon Books, much appreciated.

According to MobyGames, it's from 1985.

No matter what, we guarantee that Mind Mirror will be unlike any game you have ever played!
They got that right. Whenever I had any time to play games I certainly would feel more interested in games that looked a lot different. That still is just as true today.

Never tried this but I bought it.

Are the Alter Ego games coming, too? The C=64 versions would be nice. :)

And the screenshots are too small. Someone deserves a kick in the butt.

Ah, that explains alot :)
Certainly a niche game, but not something I would like to play, so I´ll pass this one.

wouldn't mind that. there's a remake on steam, same content, updated ui, fixed bugs (according to the store page).

as for mind mirror, it's weird to see a game from the 80s I could play on my c64 or a dos pc, but not on the pc I'm using that has win7, as the store page says win10-11. though I assume it would still work (the steam store page says win2k, 10 and 11, so they must've had access to 2k but not 7, which is also weird).

Works fine for me in 7, so far.

not surprised, but maybe gog started not mentioning unsupported operating systems or something.

That is extremely unlikely to be a GOG thing. Clid the Snail from earlier today for example explicitly mentions Windows 7. I can however fully understand that teams/publishers are more and more likely not to put in an official support for older Windows versions.
It's deeply frustrating trying to find a problem a problem on a system you no longer have access to (I remember trying to find some kind of working XP system a few years back because a customer had problems). Or you end up in a scenario where you would have to bundle a dependency you are not legally allowed to.
Nevermind that at some point you are going to run out of compilers and related tools which still support the old operating systems while still receiving maintenance.

Please add the release date to the page. :)
