Breja: I will never understand how Crevurre wasn't banned yet. I got warned for the most minor, downright imagined "offences", like quoting Just Dropped In. Yes, really. He can insult people left and right and troll every single thread he enters and call people to "oppress" and "censor" people for what games they enjoy, and it's all good.
avatar
Crevurre: stop calling people trolls. maybe that's your problem. ... i insulted no one here, another lie. fooling mods to banning other people is shady
Actually you did insult a person here by legit saying in post number 88 this bit ''by saying you had a lot of fun with dumbed down console games, you are justifying their decision in their minds.'' As that is a indirect insult... sure I get your reasons for saying that but that is to a degree a insult

It wasn't targeted at anyone and didn't include the guy I was replying to. It's true that console games are simpler with simpler mechanics. Everyone knows this including devs. So it's more a fact than any kind of insult.

I was also saying the techniques they used against PC gamers. This has already been done to PC gamers, which includes linux gamers. They censored, oppressed and screened out pc games from the internet. I have seen many console promotions on PC gaming sites.

On multiplatform sites, console content is streamed inline into PC gamers sections, with ads for playstations etc. If you don't understand the situation then you can't properly comprehend my reasons for posting that.

Ruvika: Whaaaaaaaaaaat? That is so expensive, doesn't GOG have reginal prices?
avatar
Breja: I'm a little confused, to be honest. Not having regional pricing used to be something GOG was quite proud of, and when they introduced regional pricing many people got very angry. And now I see people complaining about the lack of regional pricing. So which is it, GOG community? Do we hate regional pricing or outrigh demand it? :D
Depends on:
a) Whether you take a principled stance about it or not;
b) Whether you gain or lose from it.
If it's a matter of principle (as it is for me), you lash out against it no matter what. If it's not, then if you end up paying more (as in Europe), you complain, if you end up paying less (often less than half or even less than a third, as in Russia, former CIS countries, South America, Mexico or China, but sometimes slightly lower prices also apply to countries like Australia or Norway on GOG), you demand it :/

Edit: Woops, missed that there was one more page and the matter had been largely dealt with. (Then again, when it's brought up I tend to "see red", so figures I'd have missed the rest and rushed to reply... Ah well.)

I get the logic but the thing was you replied to someone in a easy to read as a aggressive manner rather then calm cool and collected on the game situation and views and you have done so alot so its easy enough to read as insulting and trolling others given the fact you seem to usually have easy to read as agressive posts in threads in general from what I have seen of your posts and replys.. not saying they are the bulk of yours but the majorty I have seen so far read that way to me and clearly others evidenced by example Breja's comment

Your insistence upon seeing that way is coming across as passive aggresive. Passive aggressive people are often more aggresive and overt than "easy to read as aggresive people", because it's easier to hide behind and works well in heirarchies of seethers and sociopaths, like administration or reddit style mobs. Reddit is probably where you acquired your bias from.

Crosmando was calm cool and collected and everyone but me ignored him totally. Your strategy doesn't work, you have to highlight a point somehow. I was clearly talking about others outside of gog and simply reminding him there are consequences for acting as he does and saying what he does about console games. I didn't tell him to edit his comment or anything.

I'm glad this game is now available here. This is the kind of "new releases" I'd love to hear about.
Wishlisted for now, as the price is quite steep. We'll see if it comes down the next months.

Thanks GOG for this!

Well, you are take only your point of view, you think that everyone should paid the same as everyone is in the same condition, but take it like this, videogame companies will thake as unit of measure to somebody like Jeff Bezos or Bill Gates, they can pay $50.000 easily, so now that will be the standar $50.000 for a game, normal people wouldn't be able to buy it because is too expensive, but they can pay $60, a fair price, for a salary man. Here is the same situation, here the avarage salary is a third or a forth of a the avarage salary from somebody in the US or Europe, you can paid the regular price but we can't, because represent a big take of our money that almost nobody have. i explain above that we have severe taxes too, so we end up paing $100 for a $60 game or like in this case $48 fpr a game that people from Europe or United State think it's expensive at $30. Like I said, we earn just a third of the avarage salary on US that make it even more expensive something that is already expensive.
Now there are two options: you can allow us to pay less money, let say reduce the price to $20 or $15 so we can contribute legally with something. Or like most people did before the reginal prices, they juat pirated the game and didn't contribute with nothing. I mean, it just took me two seconds to google it, there is some Skidrow version to download for free. Besides is way cheaper in other place like Steam almost a gift, it's something with GOG only.

You seem to consider "Europe" a unified place in terms of wealth. Germany and Serbia (which isn't even in the EU) end up paying the same for example, and more than the US.
But you also pointed out that there are some incredibly rich people out there. And some even exist in poor countries. And there are also many, many poor people in wealthy countries. If a single price worldwide wouldn't be fair, a single price within a region is also not fair.

Not that this is the point of this thread. (A fair point of this thread is the insane price for the game, however.)
WoW $
anyway yes this was a sort demo for neverwinter... thanks Gog, I'll wait for a sale

Well, for me are rich in comparison, the other day I was talking with a friend that live in Texas, he was complaining because he earned $6.50/h, something like $1000 per month, more than my girlfriend and I, two working class in Argentina. It's a shitty situation and every little push help us.
I talked about regions because Steam separated regions per country, I don't know how it work here on GOG, but for example Argemtina and Chile have different price tags.
Sorry for Serbia.

Now that is assuming for sure on your part and your countering with '' Your insistence upon seeing that way is coming across as passive aggresive. Passive aggressive people are often more aggresive and overt than "easy to read as aggresive people",'' is legit you doing the very same you are acusing me of doing now as all humans naturally have a thing for trying to gauge meaning and tone in text almost naturally for human nature to read situations the best they can

Also for the record I never used reddit nor Twitter nor Tumblre.. Hell the closest to social media I have ever used is Youtube,Discord, Gog and Steam and some art sites .. granted I did peek at studio/publisher twitter accounts do to links reguarding things forwarded but that is the exitent I have with it linked to things but no true account on Twitter same with any Reddit and the like thing..
