Matruchus: Actually your comment was correct since in Russian mindest those countries belong to Russia eitherway :)

Klumpen0815: Well, I live in former GDR-territory, so I'll get Russian prices too? ;)
This area is still at least as poor as back then.
But was the GDR ever part of the Soviet Union or just ruled by Germans who espoused the communist system that originated from the USSR? :)

The government were just puppets and it was ruled by Russia, yes.
That's why the economy was completely drained/milked during that period.
The former GDR is still the most poor part of Germany, not much has changed and wages are about 30% lower than in the former alliance territory. ;) At least the horde is gone now. :D

IAmSinistar, your gogmixes look like "Crack lists" (or "Games i seed on TPB") and invitations to violate GOG's TOS.
You're abusing gog's generosity.
Not cool, man. Not cool.

So you're saying the GDR was a satellite state?

While I am not IAmSinistar, I can say that IAmSinstar is the last person to advocate piracy and nowhere in that mix will you find any wording to suggest that those games should be pirated. May I ask why his mixes look like "crack lists"?

Because people see a backdoor to workaround a system "pay-and-get"?

Of course, did you learn otherwise?

Let me tell you I don't see it that way at all. I see it as legit information about regional priced games and that does not advertise piracy at all or something like that.
And what I find not cool is you accusing IAmSinistar like that.

Where is the backdoor? It's just a list.

But the problem is that in more than 40 years of Russian control, you GDRs didn't master the subtle art of video game piracy.
No piracy, no discount.

No but I wanted to confirm as the history classes I attended while living in the US basically operated on a basis of "In the 50s there was communism, especially in Europe. Communism is bad, m'kay?" :)

Oh, really? :)
Ok, GOG, it's your business. If it's fine for GOG, it's fine for me. ;)

Too much effort spent in smuggling western (=forbidden) goods like jeans and rock-music into the Russian controlled area, I suppose.
It was even forbidden to hear western radio, could get you into a Gulag faster than you'd imagine.

Yes, really. If we thought there was some exhortation to piracy in that mix then it wouldn't be there. Please provide actual evidence that IAmSinistar's mix is somehow a "backdoor" to pirate games if you are going to state that someone is contributing to piracy.

Workaround to a system "pay-and-get" doesn't mean only piracy. It also means you can "pay less". Get it?

Then I guess our own pages would contribute to this kind of thing since there is a text blurb about a Fair Price Package right above the price tag which shows up for those affected by regional pricing. It even shows just how much they're getting back in store credit.
