Phc7006: I must say I'm (positively) surprised that the Baldur Gate / BGII enhanced editions are not regionally priced ;-)
They are not new releases. :P

The correlation between being regionally priced and being a new release is far from perfect :-p

It isn't perfect but for the most part uptil now GOG is sticking to flat pricing and I sincerely hope it stays that way. :)

Case in point. Though I guess it was technically new since it's the enhanced version, but I'm not sure I count that as new.

Indeed. Not all new releases are regionally-priced :P (Legend of Grimrock 2). In all seriousness though, aside from the 20 something games that turned into regionally-priced ones with the redesign, all the rest of the regionally-priced games that came after, were day 1 releases.

The publisher sure does count it.

There is that. So are we counting that as a new release, if the game comes from a publisher that wasn't here before?

I count as a new release every game that was released the same day around all stores. Hatoful Boyfriend might have had a version before, but the "enhanced version" was the one that got released on GamersGate, GOG, Humble and Steam.

Poops, I misread your reply. I had read it as "The publisher sure does count", as though you were saying since the publisher was new to GOG then it ought to count as a new release. Now that I see what your actually wrote, it makes sense. Sorry about that.

No no. It would be outrageous if a game like Risen was considered new, even if it was the first game here by Deep Silver.

Seems also to be regionally priced even if it was not mentioned in the newspost... but I am getting a higher price than announced and I am offered the fair-pricing thing.

[edit] ok they now added the regional pricing thing to the official news.

Mentioned now. Another "mistake", eh?

Does that mean DOTC will be changed too?

Defender of the Crown.
A bit sad this had to come here regional priced. I'd rather have unalloyed joy at a Cinemaware release.

Adding to the list...

I know what you mean. Everytime it is like "Yeah a new game" ... and then a few seconds later that happiness gets a punch by "regional pricing"
