Cause I hate jump scares... so much... I mean, I'm fine when playing games (cause I can build immunities to it...) but not movies...
Nosferatu 1922.
David Cronenberg's The Fly
Braindead
EXitenZ
The Cell with Jennifer Lopez.

The new-ish Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Might be a few times Leatherface jumps out but mostly it's just scary.

American Psycho.

Let Me In (2010), Chloe Grace Moretz

Hellraiser

I second The Fly.

The Devils Rejects.

No avatar people with questions, gone offline as quickly as you posted the question, you sure you really want recommendations, I'm not sure you have the sand for the horror genre. :p

Do yourself a favour and watch the original movie Let the Right One In (2008) instead. It's much better than the remake.

I would also recommend El Orfanato (The Orphanage), because it has a fantastic atmosphere. But if I remember correctly there were two or three jumpscares.

The Others was a really good old-fashioned supernatural thriller. I think it has a couple of what could be considered jump scares, but mostly it's just a mysterious and tense build-up until the end.
If memory serves, John Carpenter's Prince of Darkness didn't have jump scares. Been a long time since I saw it though.

I really need to see this one. I quite liked the 2010 remake, so I suspect I'll love the original. I should read the book too, I suppose.

I second El Orfanato. Awesome movie.
The Witch

There are a couple moments that might be surprising, but nothing I'd really classify as a jump scare. It's a slow-builder that focuses more on dread than outright terror. And dat musical score O_o
low rated
Out of curiosity, could you explain what a jump scare *is*?
I second (and would triple recommend it if I had a cloning machine) The Witch. Dripping with atmosphere, tension that never lets up, and rift with allegory, it's a thinking person's horror movie.

I'd also recommend The Crazies. Has an interesting almost-plausible plot and is a good more realistic take on the zombie genre (though it never officially declares itself as a zombie movie nor refers to The Crazies as 'zombies').

"The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane", an older movie with Jodie Foster and Martin Sheen.
