And... diablo 2 remastered whenever it comes out. I just dont see any new games making me any interest in them. Maybe im not a gamer anymore?

I forgot to mention. I snagged city of brass from epic store while it was free and its probably the only modern new game which is epicly amazing.
Its roguelite - you die you start. Modern graphics. Very solid gameplay mechanics. Simple yet very very difficult.
At the same time its easy but somehow you end up dying because of greed and get in dangerous situations.

p.s. f.. off with puzzle games. Dont remind me them, bcos i start replaying them the moment i remember them. :D dont tempt me. :)

Some puzzle games are good, not refering to real puzzles like jigsaw puzzles, dozens on Steam and you have to piece them together and then you will see animals, landscapes, fruit, whatever, Steam is crowed with games like that, i bought a few very cheap just for fun, havent played them yet.
Anyway Puzzle Quest match 1 and 2 are two nice games, yes it looks like a flashgame on steroids but its good... bad thing is it needs Securom , like many good old games that are not patched by GOG....

Mickeysoft ( One of many nicknames for Microsoft) patched / removed Securom and now games won't run ,
M$ says it was too dangerous, well it has been dangerous for years ( even from the start of Securom) and the M$ blighters don'never bothered to fix / disable it back then, but now all of a sudden ( maybe they have seen the light ?) M$ decided to "get rid of it"

CMOT70: I think "consolized" is a made up word so that people can blame a machine for the flaws of people.

GameRager: That and using he term "tech demo" to apply to games one thinks are gimmicky/etc. I find many "consolized" games to be fun even with simplified controls/gameplay, and many "tech demos" to also be fun. :)
lol why are you getting downvoted over this? Sometimes, console versions of games do provide very elegant and simple solutions. A friend of mine did grew up playing Command and Conquer and Starcraft on the PS1 first and became a fan. It doesn't make him "bad" because he played the console versions first. I'm just happy that people can enjoy good games regardless of the platform.

Diablo 1 on PS1 was also really fucking good, had quite a lot of memoriable times with that version of the game.

Offtopic: Some here dislike me so much that they have started downrating whatever i post no matter if it's "bad' or not because they know it upsets me a bit. I have been downrated on MANY posts that are kind/good/civil, ranging from thanking people for entering my contests to giving people game/movie suggestions & even telling people about deceased relative's health problems.

Oh well, besides reporting it(which hasn't done squat as none of them have been warned/banned because staff seemingly doesn't care) what can one do? :\

=======================

Ontopic: I didn't like C&C's console version(not responsive enough for the game type, for my needs) but I do like(as an example) the Bioshock series even though it's basically simplified System Shock 1/2.

Of course the thread title is correct; Sturgeon's Law always applies:

"90% of anything is trash".

You and I seem to be the only people in this thread who know Sturgeon's law.

What about Audrey 2?

Then again, I guess she wasn't technically a flower.

must say, the DAO battles are mediocre. This 'pause' thing is like having sex every 3 seconds intermittently.

The start in the Fade is very strong, as well as the story. An imperfect rendition of a great game in a world of mostly trash ones.

The battles in this game should have been true turn based, without breaks in the battles, no matter how much time you take to decide what to do at your turn.

Cadaver747: Thank goodness most movies, music, books are not.

EDIT: This statement is false, it was made for the goal of self entertaining (a gesture of jest).
Lol, They are!! ))) for me.
Game released 6 years ago: in 2013 , not a very old game, but already one of my favorite games

check: screenshot005.jpg

Name should be easy to find by searching for image by url, but maybe someone might recognise the game :D

hint: trees and environment are not animated real time, they are pretty static, once a while a leaf falls / flies by thats all
the cpu is not abused , its not a Unity game (unless they managed to hide it somehow, the folder structure of the game is one folder with all files in it :D

Now this should be a piece of cake :D

Sturgeon’s law, a.k.a. Sturgeon’s Revelation, usually quoted as “Ninety percent of everything is crap.”
The observation, named for the American science fiction author, Theodore Sturgeon, subsequent to his previously stated Law “Nothing is always absolutely so”, in The Claustrophile, published (1956) Galaxy.

I repeat Sturgeon’s Revelation, which was wrung out of me after twenty years of wearying defense of science fiction against attacks of people who used the worst examples of the field for ammunition, and whose conclusion was that ninety percent of SF is crud. Using the same standards that categorize 90% of science fiction as trash, crud, or crap, it can be argued that 90% of film, literature, consumer goods, etc. are crap. In other words, the claim (or fact) that 90% of science fiction is crap is ultimately uninformative, because science fiction conforms to the same trends of quality as all other artforms.
(Published Venture, March 1958.)
