Happy Birthday to everyone! I am in!
I've been reading a lot lately and all over the place, Rich Dad, Poor Dad, The Richest Man in Babylon, The Forever War, American Sniper, Calamity (by Brandon Sanderson), and The Last American Vampire to name a few. I've really enjoyed it. It's a great way to pass my commute. I'm also studying for the GMAT which is hard, but it is fun to push my mind in a different kind of way than work does.
As far as gamed are concerned, I don't have a lot of time for them. I've been playing Apotheon on and off. I enjoy it, I just don't have a chunk of time to sit down with it. I've also recently gotten the game Siralim on my phone. It is a monster taming game similar to Dragon Warrior Monsters. It's fun. Not much of a purpose or end point, but a great distraction.

Probably won't be in, but if there's a compelling sale on a very few choice items as it's wrapping up I may change my mind.
Game-wise, I'm taking a second run at Van Helsing 2, and am mostly enjoying it. Few minor quibbles - e.g. doesn't seem like you can really control the pet as a tank (position/targeting) and the class I'm playing seems to be a bit fragile in early levels. Switched from Hunter to thaumaturge and while I can kill faster, even kiting like crazy I'm dying a lot more.
The tower defense mini-game is ok, but at least so far not enjoyable enough that it seems worth having included it (versus spending the same amount of time playing Orcs Must Die or something that does the same thing much better).
Music-wise, there's been quite a bit of new stuff this year that I've liked. Willie Nelson's album of Gershwin covers was enjoyable, whether or not destined to be a classic.

Hey, happy birthday to you lot!
My parents have a dog, at their home. He was born in 2001. We celebrate his birthday the same day we celebrate my mother's, since we were never told his exact date of birth, just that he was born around that time. I wish I could see him more often, and spend more time with him. He does little more than sleep nowadays.
I still remember the day he arrived (it was a surprise). We named him Cacau (Cocoa), since he wall all brown, except for a little goatee-like white patch on his chin, which gave him a very Errol Flynn-like look.
We had a joke that said that Cacau was convinced that he was actually a cat. He would prefer to eat fish, he liked to rub on our legs, and would jump on top of every piece of furniture he could. He was always a crazy little fellow. :-)
Ever since I was a little kid I wanted a dog. Dogs are great! Sgt. Pupper still looks very young in that photograph. I'm sure he will grow to be a fine companion. Take care of each other.
