Ricky_Bobby: Yakuza, Yakuza, Yakuza.

The most fun and interesting console exclusive franchise in my opinion...although it could be coming to PC.
Well I'll have to try and find that one.
I would only buy a ps3 to play Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, but I will not buy a ps3

I got that my ps3 with 80 euros and with that I also got a seriously big TV.. though it only supports mostly 720p but I guess it still was not the worst thing to spend that money.

I just don't care about it... I just care about Ni No Kuni... but spend more than 15€ to play it for me is not an option

At least you care about stuff. =)
Just echoing what others suggested: If you like J-RPGs pick up Ni No Kuni. Sadly, I never finished it, since I don't use my consoles much any more ( GOG and my PC have been occupying my gaming time ) but it's a really fun, charming game. And if I remember correctly it is by Studio Ghibli, or at least done in cooperation with them, so the art direction is gorgeous!

And if you like Dark Souls, then do check out Demon's Souls. Just a word of warning: while it isn't necessarily more difficult than the Dark Souls games, it is missing many of the "convenience features" of the later releases. This can lead to confusion and/or frustration. Don't be afraid to look up some online guides, if you get stuck on something. But if you've already played a Dark Souls game, you should be able to find your way around without too much trouble. It does arguably have some of the most memorable boss fights and the most original soundtrack of the series.

CharlesGrey: *snip*
I wasn't really thinking of buying ps3 it just happened when occasion arised.
I didn't first like last of us but now that I played it in full it was pretty good and I have good memories from that. Loved when you controlled Ellie and end game as a whole.

I'm not a total (or horribly difficult games) fan of souls games but I've played dark souls 2 and it has it's charm. There's a lot of grind and the story isn't really there but what a great game when you just get into it.

Many has said ni no kuni.. hopefully they sell that in Finland. I'll be on a look out.

I picked up Ni No Kuni 2 or 3 years ago and it was pretty cheap. Shouldn't be expensive at all, now that the new consoles have been out for a while. I think I got mine via Amazon.

The Souls games do have a lot of story and a very detailed game world, but it's not really forced on you as in most RPGs. It's all very subtle and open to interpretation. And they're also not as difficult as some people claim, but the gameplay design and pacing is very different from most Action-RPGs, so it takes a while to get used to it.

DaCostaBR: The Yakuza series, Folklore, and if you don't have a 360, there's Eternal Sonata.

Nobody knows when Persona 5 is coming out, much less where and on what platforms.
Coming out some time this holiday season or early 2017, projected release dates, and it is going to be for PS3 and PS4. This has already been announced.

mrcrispy83: Valkyria Chronicles (though might as well get the pc version or wait for the remaster)
Remaster won't be on PS3.

avatar
mrcrispy83: final fantasy 13 series, 10 HD collection, probably 12 HD soon too
XII HD hasn't ever been announced or hinted at, and most likely won't come to the older gen

avatar
mrcrispy83: Kingdom Hearts 1/2/I think 2.8 soon HD collections
2.8 Prologue is PS4 exclusive.

avatar
mrcrispy83: remaster is any better
Remaster of The Witch and the Hundred Knights is PS4 exclusive as well.

Yeah, I can quote press releases too, I didn't because they're more often than not wrong. Like last year when Atlus of America assured everyone that it was coming out in time for the hollidays, and then it didn't. So no, we don't know when it's coming out, we don't know if it will be a worldwide release, and we don't know if the PS3 version will be released in the west.

Well, those are just extra filters that you added to your statement. As far as we know, there is an approximate time when it should release, hence why I said projected release dates, and whether it releases on PS3 in the west or not was not in the topic of discussion at the time.
As I said, these are extra filters. I understand you being careful about making statements, but I think you're filtering too much.

yes, I know that some of those remasters are for the ps4 (which is commonly when the term remaster is used this gen, to refer to the next gen port of a last gen game), I was just mentioning that they were available in case the option was available or might become available in the near future.

Didn't know about 2.8, but that makes sense if there's new content.

and yeah a FF12 HD is still just rumor, but it's pretty plausible what with it seeming like squenix pushing ff remakes and ports onto steam, and I thought the origins of the rumor to begin with were leaked plans/solicitations for a new version of the FF12 strategy guide with new screenshots. Of course that isn't confirmation nor do I remember if that source was substantiated offhand.

Well, if you consider the information being in any way useful an "extra filter", then I guess we disagree.

And "whether it releases on PS3 in the west or not" was literally half of the OP's post, so I'd say it's relevant to the discussion.

Right, but you said nobody knows when it is coming out, and I gave you a projected release period. I'd say I provided extra information while you initially disregarded it. It's like comparing Persona 5 to FF XV. We know both are coming out. We don't know the exact time. We know Persona 5 has a projected release schedule, which is useful extra information.

Fair enough. I suppose every post addresses the OP in some way. Still, better to shed some light on this mystery:

http://atlus.com/persona5/home.html

On the bottom of the official website, which is in English, thus for international markets, it shows both the PS3 and PS4 logo.
