Hi all, I was watching the 10yr video and noticed so many of people in the video were saying the letters G-O-G instead of just saying "Gog". I've always just said "Gog" and assumed everyone else did also. Am I wrong on this? I'm assuming they want the letters G-O-G to be the new pronunciation?

(sorry if this has already been brought up)
Gog sounds better to me. If you want to sound a little clearer you can say gog-dot-com.

It was an abbreviation once (Good Old Games) so many people are probably used to Gee-Oh-Gee and stick with it.

Hi, we have an old thread about this somewhere. The correct pronunciation is G-O-G, but a lot of people just say Gog. At the end who cares :)
If you want to be on the safe side, say G-O-G. I told my friends about Gog and they wondered why I am always talking about "cock".

I pronounce it Gog, too. :-)
I tend to speak abbreviations as words if I can, as it's usually less syllables. There are some exceptions though mostly because I hear them constantly spoken the other way (USA, EU, UN...) or if there is a real danger of confusion.

You're not alone!

Gog, Nes, Snes, Aids
It depends how close you are to climax.
I never had the opportunity to pronounce it out loud. So, never really asked myself the question.

But how do you pronounce it in your head?
Gog. Always.
I always say "gog" because it reminds me of the grog from Monkey Island, one of the reasons I joined this site.
Grog
I just call it..........Tim.

It's some sort of abstraction, with no real attached sound. A bit like cthulhu. I assume that our minds do not have the ability to cope with its authentic phonemes, so I wrap some sort of mental cyst around it to preserve my sanity.

It worked well with keanu.
