Hey GOG,

are there any preorder exclusives?

GOG.com: The mightiest of warriors will be fallen in battle, slain by the swords and hands of their foes.
Grammar Alert: This sentence should read "The mightiest of warriors will fall in battle, slain by the swords and hands of their foes."

Maverick1988: Indie game developers are seriously raising their prices like if they were triple A releases. Aaand... the funny thing is that is an early access game still. And guess what? "Season Pass" with 2 DLC confirmed from nowhere. Man... that's not cute. Finish the game first, then we should talk about 'expanding'. Isn't it?

Let me be honest: The artstyle is beautiful, gameplay-wise seems decent, graphics are okay and looks like a game I might enjoy, but... hng. Stop learning the bad moves about big companies, guys. Please. Avoid like plague those marketing decisions. It should be more profitable FOR YOU and YOUR CLIENTS.
I didn't realise being published by Daedalic counted as being indie.

Didn't The Witcher 3 announce its Season Pass of two DLC before it was released, as well as the numerous free DLC? Considering this game is practically finished in terms of hitting release state, they should be allowed to announce content that expands on the game. The Guild of Dungeoneering did it, too, and delivered just fine.

Zoidberg: Mmh... seems overpriced for what it is.

In any case, wait for reviews, people.
Hm, this is an early access game at the moment so reviews are already there for people to decide :)

Starmaker: Hey GOG,

Nope, the game has been released in August for early access so there can't be any preorder exclusives. Essentially the preorder gives you a price similar to the early access price.

*sigh* Why, oh why, do software companies portray vikings with horns on their helmets? No viking had horns on their battle-helmets. Perhaps one or two chieftains had them on their helmets for grand occasions but not likely. It would mess with the fighting and horns would make the helmet tip off if they were hit.

But the game looks nice, however, Banished it my kind of game so that is what I'm playing. Not this.
Cultures 5, is that you?
Viking city building. Instawishlisted.

I say, let them raise them prices, if what they offer is good enough. :)

For me, it's the AAA game scene that should have more logical prices; for example, every new COD costs around 60€ and offers no more than 7 hours of single player gameplay. That's 60€ for a game you can beat it in one long gameplay session or over the course of a weekend and it's even worse if you think that at least some of the latest games look alike so much, that could be either one longer game, or expansions offered with a better price of course.

And personally, I find it difficult to return to each COD (so it has little replay value for me) due to all the scripted events that take place and the linearity both of the story and the gameplay (corridors) thus making it essentially an interactive movie with shooting moments, unlike other games like Crysis for example, which give you the "toys" and bigger freedom to do stuff on your own (due to a bigger gameworld), although it is also a linear game. (and if I remember correctly, it was significantly cheaper too).

That being said, I won't say that I haven't had any fun playing COD 4: Modern Warfare, but that fun definitely wasn't worth 60€. Thankfully, I've waited long enough to buy it from the bargain bin for less than 10€, a great price for what the game has to offer, if you ask me. ;)

That's a very good question! To be honest, I liked them... horny. :P

I thought they looked a lot more like dwarves than Vikings in the video.
Are there any Scandinavians here that get upset about your brave ancestors being represented as Smurfs? :P

If it's "early access", it is not "released"...

They just look smallish, not anything like a Schtroumpf (the lovely original name of smurfs, which doesn't sound at all like a silly dance).

COD is about multiplayer. It is pointless to buy it for single player campaign.Only with 90% discount
I'm pretty sure that I'll have fun with this game some day, but definitely not before it's released. :)

Hardly brave slaughtering unarmed monks, but damn good fun I would imagine!

Smurfs!

Looks interesting. Wishlisted for now
