Evil can be lawful, as much as it can be chaotic.

Tyranny is now available for pre-load through GOG Galaxy!
If you pre-ordered the game, you can start pre-loading right now through GOG Galaxy. Download the client, and begin installing Tyranny.
GOG Galaxy will activate your game automatically on release.

Tyranny - Commander Edition, Obsidian Entertainment's epic RPG that tasks you with enforcing the law over a land recovering from war, is coming soon, DRM-free on GOG.com.

Sometimes you can't control history. However, you can control how its inevitable turns affect the people. After years of bloody conflict, the world of Tyranny has fallen under the rule of Kyros, a powerful Overlord that is now looking for strong individuals willing to enforce his law and keep his subjects in line. Once you become a Fatebinder, you will hold the power to shape the lives of thousands with your decisions. Will you act as an unquestioning instrument of your lord's justice or will you find other ways of bringing order to this broken world? Depending on your choices, certain problems can be overcome with reason or coercion, but for those who defy you, the real-time-with-pause battles will decide the victor.

Pre-order Tyranny - Commander Edition and get ready for a dark RPG from the acclaimed makers of Pillars of Eternity, coming DRM-free on GOG.com.
Grab the official, 18-track OST, a high-resolution map and wallpapers, plus 4 exclusive Coats of Arms in the Archon Edition. To further expand your authority, go for the Overlord Edition, which also adds 3 exclusive short stories, a Guide Book, and a sweet Art book.
Pre-order bonus for any of the three editions: the Fatebinder's Seal and the Commander's Will.

Well, we've preloaded Tyranny all right. Complete download on Jan 20 I assume?

fortune_p_dawg: i don't think that would be possible without adding some sort of drm to the installers.

svjjdjjv5: Didn't stop them from doing exactly or something like that for the TW3 pre-load back then though.

Well, seems like those that prefer using the installers over Galaxy (or any client for that matter) are in the minority anyway. So eff them I guess.
Yeah, why exactly is a pre-load Galaxy-exclusive all of a sudden? Especially when it wasn't before (The Witcher 3)?
Kinda unfair, wouldn't you agree?

amok: Going to wait with this until it is clear how the whole timed thingy turns out to work in the end. I hate being rushed in a game, especially in a RPG, where all I want to do explore everything.

omega64: I remember reading that was just for the opening of the game, it doesn't cover the entire game.
(Could be wrong of course. :P
Yeah, it is just the opening - it's tied to the edict that you have at the beginning and that's done after Act 1 (they've shown that in the various streams).
It's possible that there are similar edicts later, but those would almost certainly be only for short parts of the game again.

And another +1 for downloadable preload-installer.

The lack of normal path preload is particularly poor form as galaxy isn't available on Linux a supported platform for this game.
Another +1 for preload installer here.
Will wait until release to download I guess.
Woohoo, cant wait for tomorow :D ! (would preload but you know, Linux, Galaxy, that sorta thing :P )
I love how theres many "I wont buy this because of pre-order bonuses I dont like nor want! wah wah wah!" ... just dont buy the bloody game if it is RUINED by some pixels and 1s and 0s that make ingame objects. A single fucking ring ruins a full and complex game you HAVENT played yet.... I am proud to have pre-ordered because of yet, Paradox/Obsidian has not broken my trust and I have enjoyed their games. If they did something wrong and that I ahve disliked, I just dont buy their stuff anymore... nobody gives a shit about the whinning because its just that, whinning.... you are telling a company what to do, its like telling McDonald you dislike their latest burger flavor... without buying one! Want to pass your message? Dont buy their shits, its WAY louder then any whinning post on a forum.

On the subject of pricing and such? It wasnt kickstarted so what did you expect? Publishers requires their cut too which means the game designers dont get the full money back, hence more moneyz, not a surprise to me to be honest. There's things you can do with kickstarter, there's things you can do with a publisher... both means different pros and cons.

So to make a change in this thread, who is excited to see what happens when evil wins? :D
so much self jerking in these comments ! calm down people.
It is 10th of November, almost noon, why the heck isn't the game aviable yet?!
