bluethief: @NuffCatnip look what's coming soon ;)
I stand corrected. :P
Can it optionally be played in third person or what these pre-order outfits for?

As for 40k, I don't really have issues with the quality of any of it. It's just that the grimdark edginess of the setting is precisely what I don't like. It's all a bit too much for me, it always feels like something for teenagers trying way too hard. But I don't "hate it", and if there's a really fun game out there using the license, I'm still open to trying it. I've got Dakka Squadron on my wishlist, cause it looks like some good dumb fun :D
Have similar feeling about the franchise. On one hand I really like the artistic design, the fantasy mix and the very basic outline of story/worldbuilding. But its trying so painstakingly hard to be so extremely serious in every step it takes that its kind of a joke without punchline delivered by a monotonous voice.

THIS, why do I want cosmetic outfits for a single player first person game, I won't see them 90% of the time I'm playing

As with 99% of pre-order bonuses, it is just an incentive for people who get easily baited/can't get over their completionist syndrome.

As for in-game, the weapons will be visible and I assume that the outfit might be visible in some cutscenes. Either way, you are just paying extra for pointless cosmetics.

Not at all, 40K started as a black comedy and satire, and this elements remain in how over the top everything is. It taking itself "seriously" feels more like part of the punchline.

Worth noting that for much of the 2000s and 2010s Games Workshop did take itself and its product lines super seriously, but they are starting to lighten up again. Haven't really nailed the satire yet though.

Well, it was originally satirical, it's creator said he found Space Marines being considered, and sold as "the heroes" by GW, was funny - considering they were zealots fighting for fascist regime and god that may not even be alive anymore.

But early editions had something like rocker decked Slaanesh marines who used electric guitars as a sonic weapons. Or at least that's what I saw.

They are still there although not looking like rockers any more. They're called "Noise Marines". No longer wielding electric guitars but using sonic weaponry (Sonic Blaster, Doom Siren or The Blastmaster).

They were even a unit in Dawn of War 2.

I know, I was referring to old school Noise Marines, yes. But one thing is having a sonic weaponry, and other thing is using sonic weaponry which looks like electric guitar while also looking like a rock star. Bonus point that they are also dedicated to demonic god of (BDSM) sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll:D

I know I'd rather take old school ones, because they are awesome!
'Found' a 30 minute long gameplay video, it does look janky. As expected. :P
I don't mind the jank.

I honestly couldn't watch for longer than a couple minutes, watching that dude playing hurts. xD

Edit: Sorry, the video was set to private now. :/

Ah yes, the noise marine. The starting-to-have-fun-again edition of GW brought him back as a (rather expensive) collectible mini a couple of years ago, guitar gun and all.

I actually have one in my pile of unpainted 28mm stuff, but not going to make an attempt until I git gud enough to convincingly do some freehand animal print. Because you can't really do an homage to 1980s excess without some animal print.
Couple short videos that aren't featured on the GoG game page, including the opening cinematic, which has just been released:

Auto Gun Weapon Showcase
Wallrun Augment Showcase
Opening Cinematic
For those that want to see the game in motion.
Here's a video of 30 minutes of gameplay.

Edit: Bought the game.
