Even though I'm excited for the game, one thing keeps me worried. There still isn't a real gameplay video. :(

Edit: So far every Streum On Studio release has been messy/buggy (at the beginning) and janky, but even though it's janky and convoluted E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy for example is a fun game.
Can't speak for Deathwing as I haven't played it.

I think I'll get the game tomorrow or the day after, it looks like an atmospheric and fun Warhammer 40K shooter. :)

Out of curiosity, do you mean Cyberpunk 2077?
Yup. Because I base all my game purchase decisions on random youtubers' comments on trailers without them having ever played the thing.

Breja: I don't know... I'm really not into Warhammer 40k at all, but an FPS about a sci-fi bounty hunter with a loyal dog sounds pretty damn good. If it was Star Wars I'll be all over it :D As is, I'll wait for reviews and a discount.

Oh, and fuck pre-orders.
Well, 40K is darker and edgier Star Wars while also being less shit. So you can go all over it.

To me that sounds like a contradiction :D

Oh, I am just teasing;)

But while quality is subjective, new 40K content in recent years was well received by fans. New Star Wars films... less so.
Mandalorian is allegedly okay, but I have sworn never to watch new Star Wars stuff after the Force Awakens, so I don't know:D

You missed out on Rogue One, easily the best SW movie since the original trilogy. And even Solo i found to be a fun little adventure, even if entirely unnecessary. Mandalorian is ok (2nd season far better than the mediocre first). And the animated Rebels series also has some really great moments (it would be a genuinely great series if not for the filler episoeds in between the actual story arc stuff). Overall SW has really not been doing as badly under Disney as the popular opinion says (there's even been some pretty good stuff in novels and comics), it's just that the sequel trilogy (and the material immediately connected to it) is crap, and that's the flagship so it colors the whole perception.

As for 40k, I don't really have issues with the quality of any of it. It's just that the grimdark edginess of the setting is precisely what I don't like. It's all a bit too much for me, it always feels like something for teenagers trying way too hard. But I don't "hate it", and if there's a really fun game out there using the license, I'm still open to trying it. I've got Dakka Squadron on my wishlist, cause it looks like some good dumb fun :D
Anyone knows or somebody of the support team knows if the DLC will be available for purchase after the game release? I want to pre order it but it just too expensive for me right now :/
Something told me that Monday's game announcement would not disappoint; glad I was right!
The thing with Warhammer 40K games is there's a wide disparity in both overall quality and how well a franchise-agnostic gamer can be expected to care about it, and it's usually obscure developers so you never know what you're going to get until the game is out and has been reviewed.
Very nice! I hope this finally is a decent 40K FPS. The Necromunda setting really interested me when I got into Warhammer, and I've read a few novels about it.

You got it right, because I was an edgy teenager when I originally liked it, then fell out of that when I realized how fucking dumb I was. Now I have come to again appreciate some things from 40K, mostly how everything is over the top and ridiculous, but I did find some genuine examples of humanism in the setting. But I mostly like da Orkz.

But SW is also childish in it's own way (not to say it's better or worse than 40K, it's just different), and I stand by my decision to not watch Disney stuff since I am already overwhelmed with quality materials elsewhere. I'd rather finish TIE Fighter if I am in the mood for SW.

Oh, absolutely. It's just childish in a way that I still find charming :D

Absolutely, you do you. All I'm saying is, you shouldn't judge all of the new Star Wars stuff by the sequels. And you don't have to choose between the new and old material. It's not like Rogue One made me enjoy Dark Forces any less.
