Rage against the machines

Hard Reset: Redux, a heavily upgraded edition of the cult-classic cyberpunk FPS, is now available for pre-order, DRM-free on GOG.com, with a 10% per-order discount or 85% for owners of Shadow Warrior (2013)!

Humanity is under siege. Bezoar, the last bastion of mankind, is being attacked by bloodthirsty machines seeking to download its extensive data-bank, where billions of digitized human minds are stored. It's time for a last stand. It's time for hard decisions. It's time for a Hard Reset.

The relentless gunplay, the wanton destruction, and the hardcore sensibilities that gained the original its cult fame, are back with a vengeance. Hard Reset: Redux brings a barrage of improvements, including better visuals, a new enemy type, a sweet dash move, a mean-looking cyber-katana, optimized performance, and an all-around more balanced experience. Definitely a far more enjoyable one than what our mechanical overlords would want us to have, should they were allowed to succeed...

Pre-order Hard Reset: Redux, the definitive edition of this intense techno-thriller, DRM-free on GOG.com, with a 10% discount. Owners of Shadow Warrior (2013), who want to smash some mean machines, can instead take advantage of the whopping, permanent 85% loyalist discount!
The 10% discount will last until June 10, 2:29 PM UTC.
The game launches on June 3.

I know, but it's still a bit away
Just droped to say thanks to guys for being awesome about the whole 85% discount.
Even if this game will be average, I will still buy your next game after this one. Why? Because this is how you keep customers coming back.

*Tips hat and leaves*
I'm a huge fan of Shadow Warrior 2013 and I've been waiting patiently to buy this game until it was available on GOG. Perfect!

Grargar: It's not. It's the same engine (Road Hog Engine) with some enhanced visual effects.
avatar
IronArcturus: Oh I didn't know that! Well I'm glad it can still run on older computers. Do you know if the Road Hog Engine supports DirectX or OpenGL?
Shadow Warrior was a DirectX game (DX11 on the latest patch), so probably that. The biggest change is it supports multi-threading much more effectively now according to the devs:

I think the changes will be similar to those we saw with Shadow Warrior's update from DX9 to DX11, which dramatically improved performance. We'll have to wait and see, but I'd be surprised if this didn't scale well to lower end hardware.

We have two separate versions of the game :) One supports DirectX 9.0c and the other DirectX 11 :)

Is that a confirmation that the Extended Edition will be included?

Sure sounds like it...
Would be nice to have that included.

Ah I thought we were still talking about Shadow Warrior. As for Hard Reset no word on the Extended Edition, sorry,

I guess no Extended Edition, then.

That's good! Also, do you know if the Options screen allows the user to adjust Ambient Occlusion and Texture Filtering?

Meh.
I hope it works in 3D Vision as perfectly as the original version. In Shadow Warrior, the DX11 version is a mess with lots of broken effects, while the DX9 version is perfect in 3D.

By the way, glad that I didn't buy this on Steam immediately. I didn't know it was coming to GOG a few days ago.

Good gravy! Having a blast with SW '13 (in between other games) and purchasing HR:R at the permanent discount would add to my mindless violence remedies. Unanticipated release and would have bought this immediately if both of my bank accounts weren't depleted due to necessities.

Come on, payday!
Here's hoping I can get this going in WINE...
