If you'd like to add my duplicates for statistics sake...

I also got 2 duplicate copies of Brothers, 1 of Armikrog, and 1 of Little Big Adventure 2

PincushionMan: Here's the total (I'm going to assume you'll put it in B110:
=SUM(B2:B109)

Then in C2, I'd put
=C2/$B$110

apparition: Out of curiosity, is there a reason you split this into two functions?
Nope, just doing it as simply as possible because I'm not as intimately familiar with Google Sheets. It Sheets can handle it, by all means, do it that way.

Arg! There's a gaping hole in my logic. Can a real statistician help me out here?

Onsdag: Edit: Anyone know how to insert a function in the spreadsheet? I would like it if column 3 adds up all of column 2 then return the % chance of getting each game.
avatar
apparition: Try:

=B2/SUM(B:B)

[snip]
I forgot about that column trick. Thanks!

Got one not yet listed.

Guild 2: The Renaissance.

Evixios: As you can only get games you don't already own, this way of doing randomized games is way better then just picking from the pool again and again (which makes duplicates so easy to get)
avatar
IAmSinistar: Actually you can get dupes, if you run the pool down. I've read reports of dupes already. As is common in these kinds of sales, GOG will only put up a limited number of some of the titles (typically the best bargains or games most in demand). There is no indication that these are exhausted, so if you keep playing with the idea that these are the only ones left for you and thus you'll get them on the next pass, you'll most likely find yourself with games you own instead.

EDIT: For further evidence, see the post directly before this one. :)
Yeah I've read the FAQ about running the pool down. As long as GOG doesn't change the FAQ half-way down the sale, you should be able to get all dupes refunded as it should't happen or at least give you a message. Heck even if you buy more pinatas then the remaining pool, you get gift-pinatas instead.. At least thats what the FAQ says. As we all know GOG can be a bit quirky sometimes, so I hope the dupes people receive are fixed in the end.

I don't expect GOG to give out all the games on the list indefinitely and 'fair' (as in, less expensive games will be given faster than expensive ones). But if you either spend that many pinatas to run down the entire pool, or already (almost) had all the games in the first place (i saw a post in the sale topic that had the 'you already own everything'' message) it should still try to give you something nice and new from the remaining pool, right?

Don't forget to format the column as a percent or multiply by 100. (I forgot my probability theory - I had to look it up)

                  &n bsp;                Number of Outcomes
Odds of an event = ------------------------------------
&n bsp;                Total number of Outcomes

edit this time with & nbsp ;??
Sorry, guys, that's as good as it gets. GOG doesn't approve of too many non-breaking spaces.

Could you change your PM settings? I would like to ask you.

Guild 2: The Renaissance.
Listed as the Guild 2 . . . maybe I should change it, I'll see how GOG lists it.
I took a stab at it just for fun; there is something delightful - albeit oft-frustrating - about buying things blind. I got:

Skyshine's BEDLAM Deluxe Edition
The Guild 2
SOMA
Seven Kingdoms 2 HD
Metro: Last Light Redux
Spellforce: Platinum

Unfortunately I own some of those games on other platforms already, so they are rather dead to me now. I was hoping rather terribly for Tyranny. Should have just saved my money and bought it insted! But the Pinata did grace me with a few games I would never have bought on my own, so at least I'll be exposed to a couple of titles that will surpise me one way or another ... and that is kind of what the Pinata should do, right? : )
Thought I'd give it a whirl and got Skyshines BEDLAM Redux! (Deluxe Edition)

I don't know how to do that, but if your question was about trading, I've already refunded all those.

That is one of the 10 from the list I wouldn't mind but I really just want Owlboy since stupidly didn't get it via humble bundle..

=SUM(B2:B109)

Then in C2, I'd put
=C2/$B$110

And then click-drag it down to the bottom. Then I'd format the column to be a %.

Not a Google Sheets expert, but I've worked with Excel and LibreOffice Calc once or twice.

As for me, I'm glad I got out with $6 in. I have one reasonably good game (ARPG) and one two star game (P&C adv). Not listing again because I don't want to skew the results. My contribution was waay back on page 2 or 3.
Thanks! Very helpful! Though for C2 I had to put =B2/$B$110 otherwise it was circular logic.

Bought a few more afterall:

-Little Big Adventure
-Imperium Galactica
-Seven Kingdoms 2
-Aliens versus Predator Classic 2000
-Heroes of Might and Magic 3
-Capitalism 2
-Trine Enchanted Edition
-Her story
Got 1 for now because I'm at work.

Her Story.

The one game in the list I had absolutely zero interest in and that I SPECIFICALLY didn't want.

Oh well, at least I can't get it again!
