Look, we're serious about not ruining this thread. Yes, the opening thread from a long long time ago had open code drops. But there was a big turn around on these forums regarding those. And this thread in particular became a MAHAYO (Make A Human Answer You) thread.

The only thread for dumping open codes is the Ninja 2.0 thread.

You don't have to take it that way. You weren't here when the forums got pretty bad ,because of open code drops. Most of the forum made a big effort to replace that method of giving away games with a simple method that deters the worst beggers/scammers/jerks. The method is MAHAYO. You say "I've got this key, reply if you want it." You can put conditions on who can reply or not. Up to you. But the main thing is not to drop the key openly.

The only holdout thread is, like I said, the Ninja 2.0 thread. Go ahead and drop codes there if you must.

Don't be offended. Your generosity is appreciated. But, we do things to preserve the peace of the forum.

Well, I understand the MAHAYO policy (and even explained it to good cecil when I dropped some codes a lot ago, so you can see I'm with you), but I see Nox's point too.
Also take on account that these are some Origin Codes, which were already offered in a previous post. If you see Nox's drops, they rarely are naked drops.
So even if I understand the MAHAYO metod and support it, since some fuckers fucked up the cool art of ninjaing, naked codes are still acceptable under some circumstances. For example, Desura is closing closely (probably), so scammers are less likely to target those games and more users can get the games (since even if not a requeriment nor part of MAHAYO, we (and I include myself) tend to set a rep requirement and/or join date).

I didn't go as deep xD. I just explained the MAHAYO system when you asked why some of my drops were so cryptic xD. Sorry if I remember poorly, my brain tends to fart.

As far as I am concerned: There is no rule. You are not the king of this topic. I am so sick of people putting arbitrary rules up for people here. If somebody wants to drop a code so be it. You can Always remind them it may be better to use the pm method and why but there is no rule about it. This topic and forum is getting flooded with butthurt people anyhow and the mahayo method isn't going to change that.

If the pope decides that code dropping shouldn't happen in this thread then so be it because I still consider it his thread but that's about it...

The spiritual leader of this thread (aka Pope, aka xckx) began this thread as an open code-drop thread but after a divine revelation (aka Mahayo) decided that open code-drop is a sin and should not be exercised.
