The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt 50% off for the first time. Up to 80% off games that you'll find only on GOG.com.

Across the years, we've tracked down and recovered numerous gaming classics - those lost to time but never quite forgotten. We've tested, tweaked, and tested some more to get them up and running on your computers, free of the all-consuming hassle of virtual machines and emulators. We've done our best to deliver bonus goodies: manuals, booklets, and all the little things that gave us a sense of heft and ownership so many years ago.

We are digital archeologists, we are gaming detectives, and this week is all about the games that make GOG.com a unique place to be:

For the first time ever, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt gets a 50%, courtesy of our friends at CD PROJEKT RED. And while we're at it, we're throwing in the rest of the Witcher franchise along for the ride.

Four bundles, the best of those that returned, only on GOG.com:
D&D: Classic Bundle (up to -80%): featuring the classic editions of Baldur's Gate, Planescape: Torment, Icewind Dale, Neverwinter Nights - 10 games in total.
D&D: Gold Box Bundle (up to -50%): featuring three tomes of Forgotten Realms: The Archives (with Eye of the Beholder, Pool of Radiance, Dungeon Hack, and more) as well as Al-Qadim, Dark Sun, Krynn, Ravenloft, and others - 18 games in total.
Warhammer Bundle (up to -50%): featuring 4 games: Final Liberation: Warhammer Epic 40,000, Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate, Warhammer: Shadow of the Horned Rat, Warhammer 40,00: Rites of War.

Dungeon Hack from Forgotten Realms: The Archives - Collection Three sounds kind of interesting.

Randomly generated dungeons, a single character to control, and permadeath can be enabled. Sounds quite roguelike to me! It won an award for its replay value.

Anyone tried it?

Painted_Doll: Come on . Do you know any Steam user who bought the non-Steam version of TW games just because they are on sale on Gog ?
No. But I expect a few Steam users spent some money to get the Gold Box and/or Star Trek bundles here and now have less money to spend on Steam.

I was quite addicted to it back in the day. So addicted in fact that I had to set an alarm so I did not forget to eat.

The last time I played it was about 10 years ago and it held up pretty well back then. Can't speak for today, of course. But I'd say it's definitely worth the asking price.

Yeah - I liked that game a lot. Like an Eye of the Beholder but with new dungeons everytime I restarted.

Considering the Star Trek bundle: nice bundle but I WANT MY STAR TREK ARMADA! :)

I am a Steam user as well, but i have just bought TW3 here on GoG with the 50% discount (and 11% for the expansion)
I already own the first game and the second one, which both dont require steam (i have the original first game when it was released, before it got an enhanced edition later on)
So... we won't have any new bundles? We'll have to stick with these 4 for the rest of the week? :O

Never played it on anything but easy with permadeath enabled. There are far too many monsters with instadeath attacks on harder difficulties. Fun game but would be too frustrating as a true rougelike.

Yes. This is a sale with some nice promos, but presumably not the giant winter sale. Think of it as more like an extra-long weekend promo.

Assuming you meant that you own the first and second on Steam, you are aware that you can have them on GOG too for free:

Right?

I tried it last night not finally. I did not know what I was doing, and the very first level could not be completed with my fighter/thief. I ran out of food, and after google-ing, I needed a golden mallet to ring a gong. I killed everything, and was running out of food wandering back and forth trying to get a spawn with a golden mallet.

Not really the best first impression. Oh, and the sound was pretty bad for using soundblaster.

Edit: My second run is going much better, but then I picked the much recommended cleric as one of the classes.

I already said that they don't require steam, so how can i have them on steam if the copies i have don't use steam.
No, i have the retail versions, on dvd that is. And without any steam activation.

Tauto: Ahh bugger, that means you can't beg for a game.
