omega64: I can't.
I'd probably need to set something up to be able to do that?
My pc is usually off when I'm not home.

governor1835: There are several ways to do it, some are more secure than others.

I don't leave my PC on either, but I do have a NAS that's on all the time.
I guess I'll just take my chances with Steam Cloud rather than going through the trouble of finding/implementing a different solution. :P
Not like it really matters to lose my saves with most games.
Sounds like there are advantages and disadvantages to both. Who woulds thunk it?

Tachikoma.979: i like but gog forgot to move the saved games so why the hell would someone do this
You get a new version; the gog version, of the game in addition to the steam version. Some saves might be compatible, some might not.

I don't see how there can be disadvantages to cloud saves. It doesn't move your saves to the cloud, you know. It just copies them. If you insist on manually copying them to a USB stick and carrying that around with you, there's nothing stopping you from doing that.
How lazy one can be...
You want the save files moved, move them manually!
Or are you just looking for stupid reasons to complain about Gog Connect?

nightcraw1er.488: Anyways, doesn't bother me, pop your whole life on the cloud, eventually it will fail, or at least lock you into watching adverts.
And if one backup fails (the cloud), you always have a second one. And a third. And maybe a fourth as well.
The cloud is not the backup solution, it's a backup solution.
When someone presents you with a new thing, you check the benefits of it, and the disadvantages of it, then decide if you want to use it or not. Once your needs change, you reevaluate the old things again. Same way we've been doing since the dawn of time.

governor1835: For some reason, some people believe you must save to the cloud if you want to be able to access you game saves (or any file for that matter) from 'anywhere'. Sad, that.
You don't really need the cloud for that. You just need a remote access tool with file transfer capabilities, as well as a way to connect to your machine, if the IP isn't static. Multiple ways to do that, though not sure how many there are for an arbitrary file on the computer. I know that OneDrive does offer that capability (grabbing any file from your computer, not just the ones in the cloud), and I think TeamViewer also offers said possibility.

Curious about what solution you had in mind though.

The only downside I can think of is the possibility of a fuck-up when saves are not synced and the user accidentally overwrites the local save with the cloud one. Nearly had that happen in Fifa 16.
