morolf: Sounds unpleasant. But then there are actually parasites that can influence their host's behaviour (at least it's been proven for mice, but seems likely it also applies to humans). In a way that's even more scary...just imagine, your personality changed by some parasite you'll probably never even know about.
There has been research into whether toxoplasmosis (one of those parasites that impacts behavior in mice) may be linked to mental illness in humans, mania, schizophrenia, etc.

So it may not be 'directing' your action in the same way it does in mice (lessens fear of cats), but it may well still be having an impact on behavior nonetheless.
Watersports are dangerous business. Many people gathering in small space, special chemicals are used for cleaning, sometimes cleaning is omitted/forgotten with dire consequences, lots of infections, especially fungi and so on. In Germany they even have exotic, imported, multi-cellular parasites, though, like those sexual attackers in public swimming pools, that despite being non-lethal, they are very nasty, still!

"Damn, nature you 're scary"!

Maighstir: Relevant comic (though not entirely true, as is explained in the comments, it's still funny).
Not relevant in any way but hilarious comic.

Siegor: So... beer is a parasite?
A delicious and refreshing parasite.

almabrds: You can change configuration in your browser, so that it asks for your permition to use Adobe Flash.
That way, you'll have 2 options when you visit a page:
Allow this time, and, allow and memorise.
If you don't want to watch videos, simply ignore, the video won't play unless you allow it.
I'm not sure if you can do this in other browsers, but in Firefox is possible.
One problem: I do not have Adobe Flash on this machine at all. (This is an intentional decision.) Therefore, Flash videos won't play at all, but this (HTML5 I assume) video still did autoplay.

Please spare us the details.

That reminds me of a freaky video I saw a couple months ago:

Zombie Snails
Multi cell being taken down by the single cell. Bummer. You would thought that nature would have created a workaround for that by now. Still, I'd rather have an amoeba eat my brain than a tapeworm come out my ass.
Well, I know quite some people who would be immune to this disease. The amoeba would just starve...

The amoeba eat the hardware, whether there is any software on it or not they probably don't care about (too much)

By watersports, i mean swimming in the pool or at sea. Out of plain curiosity, just what the hell did you people actually understand?

Well I speak English and French fluently, but my imbecile is a little rusty, so I'm having a tough time understanding you.
