So, my computer decided to freak out and fall over after I got a graphics card, which meant I needed to reinstall windows 10, which helpfully resulted in everything being uninstalled, including all of my games etc on steam and gog.

My steam games still work fine, but my gog games do not. I cannot get them to launch at all. They simply don't start, I don't even get an error message. I'v e tried uninstalling and deleting, then redownloading and reinstalling but it has had no effect whatsoever.

I imagine you already tried running as administrator, which is the only advice I could give.

Have you contacted support with this? They'd be much faster and efficient in their counsel than the forums.
You could check the eventviewer, things should probably still be logged there.
But a fresh installation of Win10.. perhaps you need to install DirectX9 again?
when i installed windows ten on my new computer, Norton, that came with it, was a HUGE pain in my ass. Disable that son of a bitch while you download your gog games. it'll give you the option for like 15 mins, an hour, upon reboot etc. i just chose reboot.

hope this helps! :)

Mine didn't.
Perhaps some kind of strange custom OEM laptop installation.

Maybe it comes with certain versions of it, and simpler ones like Home don't.

Edit: I guess not.

I have DirectX 12 and launching as an administrator didn't work either.

Having directx 12 means what? You need to get DirectX 9 to run most of the games on GoG. Different versions of directX can be installed at the same time. DX12 doesn't support the legacy features of DX9. I hate DX with a pssion for this, forcing people to use Windows and the like. ReactOS can't be completed soon enough.

It doesn't matter if you have directx 12, you still need directx9.0c to install for games that need it and lower.

That's great, but for many older games you need to install DX9.

Edit: Looks like I wasn't the only one to catch that comment.

Not very helpful and probably not even related to your problem, but since I updated my laptop to Windows 10, I can't play The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky anymore. The game kinda launches (title screen shows up), but when I try to load a game or click New Game, it throws me back to the desktop. No error message, no nothing. Reinstalling didn't help either :/ But my other GOGs work fine :D
