Don't even get access to the full games... but discount coupons to pay again!

The MIX Digital Preview Ticket

MIX it up and support indie developers! In conjunction with the Media Indie Exchange (MIX) 5th Anniversary Showcase, we're offering up this special bundle for a price of your choice. While there are no full games included in this bundle, you'll unlock early builds unique to this bundle that'll give you a taste of the games and coupons for discounts on the full titles.

Pay what you want for Giant Cop: Justice Above All (Early Build) + 50% off Coupon, Goliath (Early Build) + 15% off Coupon, FORCED SHOWDOWN (Early Build), PolyRace (Early Build) + 25% off Coupon, Prismata (Early Build), RIVE (Early Build) + 33% off Coupon, Arena Gods (Early Build), Burly Men at Sea (Early Build) + 20% off Coupon, Combat Core (Early Build) + 25% off Coupon, and a 10% off Humble Monthly Coupon for New Subscribers.

Name the price. Because these are early builds and are not the full games, there is no MSRP for these titles. Here at Humble Bundle, though, you can get them for whatever price you want!

DRM-free. These builds are all available DRM-free for Windows. Burly Men at Sea (Early Build) is also available DRM-free for Mac. Please check out the full system requirements here prior to purchasing.

Support charity. Choose where the money goes -- between the developers, MIX Digital, Electronic Frontier Foundation, and, if you'd like, a second charity of your choice via the PayPal Giving Fund. For details on how this works, click here. If you like this bundle or like what we do, you can leave us a Humble Tip too.
So you're not actually buying the games just a beta/alpha build?
Thanks, but no thanks. I do plenty of beta-testing for AAA games when i buy those...
That's how I read it with the discount coupons, unless they really want you to buy 2nd copies for a friend...
Great, they're DRM-free only with an exception or two, but no Steam keys. However, you buy the beta builds, not the full games. Too bad.
Im not sure im understanding the point of this. Pay to play broken games?
whoo pay for the dubious honor to play half finished games
and then pay again when and if they finally finish the damn things

its like early acces but worse !
You haters you can't criticize games in development because its in development, duh. You guys are just jealous of the real fans and hardcorest supporters who are the loyalest to the developers and get to have the fun before you do. Stop crying haters lolololol

I'm not sure what to make of that. Have indie developers become reluctant to bundles selling their games for a nickel and dime, and now rather offer only early builds of their games for such prices, kind of as early demos?

Anyway, pass. I see no reason whatsoever to take part into that, even for one dollah. Good for those who want that, I guess.

They're bundling discount coupons now, why?
While this does seem a bit odd at a first glance... It is pay what you want, so you can decide for yourself how much these early versions/demos are worth to you. ( Besides, I guess you really need to think of it as supporting those devs while they're still working on their games, rather than buying demos/betas. ) And if it turns out you really enjoy some of the games, you even get a decent discount for when the final version is released. And you can use the opportunity to donate to some of their charities, while you're at it. Overall it doesn't seem nearly as bad as most of you make it out to be. *shrug*

Its called progress. Next step is to sell games at idea state, i.e. I have an idea, pay me $1 and you can partake in it. Innevitable really InDev/Early Access > Greenlight > Kickstarter > giving money to people for nothing.

Sarcasm aside, I wouldn't touch Humble witha barge pole.
Gosh... who would actually want this bundle? People with unlimited time, desperate to play anything they can buy for $0.01? This selection is duller than anything on Steam's "new releases" tab.

So in modern age we get to also pay for Demo versions... I remember the good old times when Demo's of...blah...every game! (or so it felt like) were tossed here and there, whether you need 'em or not. Nowadays we can't even get those without paying.

Where is the world going to...
