Telika: 1) i wouldn't hold y breath for a l.a. release on thursday (i did for tuesday and my left lung imploded for nothing)

2) it has been a week already (the l.a. release was on tuesday)
1) You still have a right lung.

2) Once per week doesn't mean once every same day of the week. Be patient, young padawan.
Am I late with this news?

More releases this week? Fingers crossed...
I read a previous comment about how now we have Lucasarts on GOG what's left for us to bitch about? So I had to mention Freelancer lol,
It's still such a popular game with the mod community etc.. but such a huge pain in the ass to get running and looking good in high res on modern systems you wind up spending as much time troubleshooting the game as you do actually playing. For this reason an up to date version for modern PC's would sell like crazy. I'm sure GOG knows this and hopefully one day we might be lucky enough to see it happen.
Personally, to see a single release of Freelancer would make me even happier than the acquisition of the entire lucasarts library. But that's just me and I'm still hyped to see Lucasarts here finally.

Haha, would definitely love Freelancer. I have the CD somewhere but for the life of me, I can't find it.

So, is there any word on when Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe will be available? I loved the WWII sims that they did!!
Lucasarts games where one of my favorite games on my childhood, specifically Tie Fighter title

however all i can iay is:

Where is Dark Forces? i want that game!
Any idea how often the games will be dropping?

I'm personally hopeful for Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine, and Emperor's Tomb. Infernal Machine especially because it's a bugger to get working on modern systems (and even more so with gamepad support).

Willdo: Wonderful news! I kinda lost faith in GOG since they've been releasing all these indie games I don't care for, but we're talking about LucasArts here!

I hope I'll finally get to play Grim Fandango, Full Throttle or Outlaws :D

I wouldn't mind some classic Star Wars games I've already played like Dark Forces 1 & 2 (+ Mysteries of the Sith), Jedi Outcast & Jedi Academy, Shadows of the Empire, Rogue Squadron, X-Wing Alliance... So many great gaming memories :)
Well Grim Fandango's getting re-released next year in HD for sure, Shadows and Rogue Squadron were console only, but the rest - hope so!

Rogue Squadron was also released for the PC:

As was "Shadows of the Empire".
He he...

He he...

Six years.

Six years that I've been on GoG for this day.

This is the day it happened.

It simply happened.

Oddly enough, only after Disney bought Starwars - who would have thought? It's completely crazy to me.

TIE Fighter and X-Wing were the first true computer games I've ever played, after trying some demo here and there.

These two games taught me so much, from the english language to the game design possibilities. Without these two, maybe I wouldn't be a gamer today, maybe my childhood would have been much more "normal". I can't be thankful enough to these two games.

I can still remember several of its missions, the design of the ships, mines and containers - that was 20 years ago. Even the mission lines - "this is not a science station, it's a weapons' lab!". He he, me and my brother really struggled to translate that "tractor beam" function, to understand what it actually meant - so many missions we failed or played for much longer than needed because of our very first attempts at deciphering english.

GoG achieved one of my gaming dream with these releases.

Thank you Good Old Games, thank you strange monks, thank you everyone at CD Projekt. You are all awesome, you deserve all the praise for this fantastic addition.

As I've always said... Good Luck Sir !

FraggingBard: Blizzard just released Warcraft 1 and 2 on their downloader store thingy for free. Should be able to add it to your account and play.

Artoemius: I would also be very happy if this isn't a mistake. Please give us some more information!

I would even create a Blizzard account to get those great games! :)

No War1/2 yet, apparently that was a glitch on my end. Only Blackthorne, The Lost Vikings. and Rock 'N Roll Racing. Warcraft 1 and 2 are now back to possible future releases, they're on the legacy page though so... 'shrugs'

Oh, OK. Thanks for clarifying this!
