Can we expect an X-WING and TIE Fighter release for Linux? How come they were only released for windows?
I can only assume they use dosbox so releasing them for Linux should be trivial.
in addition since we see the 'Fate of Atlantis' and 'Sam and Max'(using scummvm?) for Linux I can also safely assume that the publisher is ok with releasing on Linux. So what is the reason for not releasing the rest as well?
If it is just a matter of time I will happily wait but I would like to know if they are coming out for Linux eventually or not?

bmshirey: Awesome! Can I go ahead and throw out a request for a title here?

You HAVE to get Yoda Stories and Indiana Jone's Desktop Adventures. They are awesome little windows 95 games from back in the day. Almost like a modern app but really cool scope, randomly generated worlds you explore each time. They were amazing. Unfortunately the indy one was on 3.5 in floppy which I think I lost, but also don't have a floppy drive any more, and the yoda one doesn't play nice on windows 7 - it stutters a lot. But it would be amazing to experience these titles again.
Ooh, yes, it would be so great to play Desktop Adventures and Yoda Stories again. Still have the Yoda Stories disk, but can't get it to work on Windows 7.
Please add SW Rebellion to the list!
Woohoo! Thanks GOG and Disney/LucasArts! :D
What a glorious day! Thank you very much!!!
"...and more to come"

Amazing! Thank you, GOG and Disney! That's fantastic. Lots of things to instabuy and to wishlist immediately.
Aaaaaaand there goes my money.

*Folds bills into neat little TIE fighters and throws them at screen*
My God, it's full of stars...
Great to see all those games finally coming here... with multilingual support ! Pricing seems ok although some more bonuses (I'm talking about Sam & Max and Indiana Jones) would have been better.

It seems it is time to use my The Witcher 3 5.99$ coupons. And then I'll wait for Day of the Tentacle, Indiana Jones and the Third Crusade and Monkey Island 3. Grim Fandango and Monkey Island 4 are bonus as I already have them somewhere else.
Good job with Disney !
OMG !... Day of... ? Grim... ?
ohhhh god....
Awesome news! Can't wait to see what other games the Lucasfilm/Disney catalogue will offer.
Let's not forget Xwing vs Tie Fighter. Don't remember if it used IPX (Novell) networking or if it was straight IP, I think via DirectPlay, I doubt that's still supported.

Does anyone know if the Xwing includes the Bwing add on? Yes, Xwing and Tie Figher both had DLC - back then called add ons. B-wing had a great mission where you could blow up the Death Star in a Bwing.

IIRC, there's an add on for Tie Fighter, too. I think it added a 3 foiled ship with 3 ion cannons and 3 regular cannons, and some missions where you try to find rebels within your midst. Do well, and you'll be marked by the emperor himself. I vaguely remember a mission where you were told to clear a minefield with an un-shielded vanilla tie fighter - not fun!

A historic day for the site and gaming as a whole, it's truly a shame that these games disappeared into the ether for as long as they did. Now if only we could get Disney to re-release the unbastardized versions of the original movies in a modern format (hell, why not here?!)
Amazing news! X-Wing, Tie Fighter, and KoTOR! Can't wait to see Dark Forces and Full Throttle!
Although I am a bit disappointed at the lack of extras for KoTOR =\ oh well.
