Many people here don't like Beamdog and I am aware of that. The reason for this are experiences they had in the past. I myself don't care that much about their games so I simply don't have the information needed to judge if this anger is understandable or not. Given how many people are angry at them I'd say it is though.

Be aware that GOG WILL moderate in extreme way if people actually start to calling their publishers names. I know this for sure because they did it in the past (and received some backlash for it)t. As I said befor about your insults (fool, idiot) it seems as if this line has not been crossed yet. I am sure the thread is watched and wil be moderated if necessary. This did not happen so far so I'd say the way this is discussed is still all right.

That's because the insults were, and still are, targeted at lying users caught in the act. Not at GOG and not at Beamdong.
And it costs a whooping $10, on launch offer, $20 at maximum. Where is the lying fool who was making estimates of like "3x the original price", if not more?

Calling people "liars" would also considered to be insulting. And it does not matter at all if you are right or wrong. Insulting anybopdy is bad and against the rules.

Still however I don't see any reason why I should be mad at GOG since - several already explained it - they simply have to follow their contracts and the rules that are made by their publishers.

Call me old-fashioned, but I was under the impression that lying is generally considered to be intentional dishonestly, not just being wrong about something.
