Short of actually launching some kind of formal legal action against the developer (or God forbid a hate-filled en masse online attack), I don't know how much good that will do. From what I've gathered, if the developer wanted to actually reach some kind of amicable or reasonable agreement that would allow development on the game to proceed, it would have happened by now.
And yes, I really do want to hear the developer's side of the story before coming to any real judgement (let alone getting my torch and pitchfork). Trouble is, last I saw on the Steam thread, he was promising an official statement, "Soon" (tm). That isn't doing his public image any favors.

No offense taken here, as a backer. I certainly don't think the developers would pay any attention to this forum, but I'm glad this thread was here to inform me, and others.
