Death of a pet is like the death of a family member.

Though, from personal experience it's also very difficult when you have to put an animal down.

But i think the topic is a bit dark.

I'm very sorry she had to leave, especially after so long. I'm glad she had a good and full life with you.

I felt sorry for your loss. But at the same time, I envy you.
We have lost around 8 dogs by now, I think. They've never even reach 10 years of age.

My family are fond of dogs too. They're essentially part of the family.

19 years of unconditional love. Not an easy thing to mourn. :( Sorry for your loss, csanjuro. Wish I had better words of comfort.

Just found this thread.....and am now reminded of losing my own pet a few years back(a female cat, 15 yrs old), but also some of the good moments we shared as well(since I rescued them from the cold outdoors long ago).....so thanks for making this thread and reviving those memories of mine.

That said, I offer my condolences for your loss, and also well wishes for you & any future canine companions you might bring into your home.
