Sorry if this has been posted, and yeah a lot of unique things have been created with Minecraft, but wow, just had to shake my head at Minecraft meets Mass Effect 2 for those that haven't seen it.

I'm just waiting for all the awesome mods to update to 1.3

In the mean time I customize my lil' minimap to keep me going. =_ =

I'm getting ready to start on a complete texture pack, for personal use (and free distribution, if anyone's interested). I'm going with a post-apocalyptic feel - any suggestions?

Have You guys tried the Biplane yet?

Still early work, but this is effin' amazing! I already had a test flight today, my friends were sitting next to me, admiring the view. We've found one of those neat unusual formations [flat plateau on a steppy escarpment, kinda like the Devil's Tower but with a sort of a balcony reaching our. I've landed there, it was in the middle of the desert. We've joked how peaceful Libya looks from here. Then we took off again, and sun began to set, but friends wanted to see how stuff lookes at night from above. Well, mobs started appearing, we've joked at the puny Libyan Army etc [i know, we're evil]. So i deciced to swoop down and try to knock one of them down, or at least see how arrows look when they stick out of the plane. Well, i got shot down. In the middle of the enemy territory. The plane just disappeared and it's parts fell to the ground with me. So i took a run in the direction of my house that was a bit far to the east. And, we'll, we've got what we've asked for, talking about Libya. Creepers appeared in the east. [isn't eastern Libya controlled by Al Qaeda now?]. Anyhow, the first flight was epic! Kinda like the feeling I got after my "first night in MC".
No but I will soon :) I saw a flying ship thing (ship mod, but it could fly too) in the previous hm0d incarnation of moddable servers, and we played around with that briefly, but this looks neat too.

Is Bukkit ready to play (though of course still in a beta-tweaks stage) or are they still in closed development, by the way? The front page seems to be kind of wishy washy on that (with the licensing thing followed by some dev news).
New version of my Ultima Minecraft Texture pack!

Had to add in for beds etc. from the latest update.

As usual, this is a 16x16 pack, and it should be compatible with Minecraft version 1.3_01.

According to the Painterly Pack site:
"IMPORTANT NOTICE: The following things do NOT currently work with Painterly due to coding changes or bugs in the actual Minecraft game itself: Non-biome grass/tree shading, watches, compasses, redstone wire, and diamond/iron/gold block selections. Unfortunately nothing can be done about that at this end. Thank you for your patience and consideration - I am trying to speak with Mojang about possible fixes for this."

I guess You have the same stuff going on in Yours?
Jolicraft is my absolute favorite texture pack yet. Simply excellent, even better than Painterly.

Tried it, and while some of it is very nice indeed, other things are not. The glass texture is one such thing. It's really horrible. The beatiful glassed-in porch I used to have suddenly looks like a zoo cage. Also, some inventory icons are hi-res, while others are lo-res, and they just look really bad together. Finally, the inventory cells are too light, they need to be darker to stand out from the background.

Oh, it's not perfect. I have my issues with Painterly too, though. What I'm figuring is that I'll just tweak what I don't like from packs I do - I've been thinking about swapping out a glass texture, even the original. It's not hard at all. I haven't noticed the issue with the inventory icons though o.O
