oh heck,

what to do now?

thank god most of their games didn't had my profile as a player in mind!
well pillars of eternity is still on gog (obsidian is microsoft like bethesda now), but no games from them on gog anymore so I don't really hope for more bethesda games on gog.
I was really waiting only for Doom 2016, Skyrim and Fallout 4 (maybe wolfenstein 2 but that's it).
Now I'm expecting Minecraft: SKYRIM edition to come out/
Sad day, indeed. If I went back 20 years back in time and told my younger self that Microsoft bought ID Software and Bethesda, I would've been laughed out of the house.
Game Over. At least I still got my classics.
Weeell, there's a positive, now that Microsoft owns both Obisian AND Bethesda we might see a real Fallout again (not on gog of course). :P

WinterSnowfall: Time to double check if I have everything I want from Zenimax & Co. on GOG, because all bets are off now that Microsoft is in the picture...
My thoughts as well. I already have all games I want from them. GOG fellows, be prepared.

Outer Worlds is still an Epic exclusive. Right now, that's the main reason why GOG isn't selling it. After the exclusivity period ends, we'll see.
InXile was bought up by Microsoft in 2018, yet they recently put Wasteland 3 on GOG (published by Deep Silver). Maybe because they had a contract (with DS) dating from before the takeover? I don't know...
Oh boy.
I was really hoping to get Skyrim on Gog. I did enjoy that when it was modded to the teeth.
Maybe they can make Freelancer 2 with all that new talent then..
Maybe, possibly, hopefully.
Why do some people think, there will be no more Bethesda Games on GOG. Obsidian is also part of MS and we still have this games.

I have a feeling that somehow Bethesda will follow the path of the fondly remembered Origin.
Maybe I'm wrong. I suppose we'll see the result of this acquisition on Elder Scrolls 6.

Still... Loss some, win some. We got Freedom Fighters on GOG. It was one of those games many people were hoping to be available again.

I want to see how this plays out. I dont think it is necesarily bad news. Maybe we will get a proper Fallout again after the 76 disaster (and Fallout 4 disaster as well :D) and some more stuff at Zenimax will be fixed. Regarding of if GOG releases get better worse - time will tell - but i guess that move to buy Zenimax was rather to compete against the PS5 and to bolster the game pass but GOG is a bit outside that scope so releases still might happen
I don't think this means there won't be more games on gog from them, Microsoft bought Minecraft a while ago and it's still on every platform, same for POE from Obsidian.
