Ozimandeus: Do we really have to point out the difference between skin colour, and the conduct of a government of a nation?
Do we really have to point out we are just talking about games and their devs.

Ozimandeus: I see the argument of the mob, overruling minorities.. yeah.. that's exactly why we shouldn't have tags for any category at all. In case it offends the majority of RPG players. (sarcasm)
Gawd.
What mob. Do you even understand the basics about mob behavior.
This is not about some freedom that is being withheld or a minority being targeted.
In fact it is the opposite ... a minority being judgmental.

Ozimandeus: In context now, metadata is just that. It doesn't hurt anyone, it just helps making buying choices.

If you are really arguing that adding a metadata tag to a product on a digital store that some might find useful. Is somehow excluding a community of people from doing something. You have completely missed the point, and over-reached your counter-argument.
It's not me that has missed any point.

UnashamedWeeb: Impact, POV, it's all the same semantics.

It's not up to consumers to care about vendors. It's their job to do the work, assess the market, release goods and services, and make a profit.
What a load of bollocks, nothing like the same thing at all.

LiefLayer: Not true, for example I will not boycot Night Dive Studios since they are against trump.
It's not about where you live and more about what you believe.
Gawd. I thought we were talking about countries.
And those in a country anyway, are bound to have a range of different beliefs.
Honestly you are contradicting yourself.

What's the difference between looking at the impacts of another party and considering their POV in this context?

English is my 2nd language and I know it's the same shit.
My opinion is that is not necessary. I am curious and always check the name of the company of the game on google before a title i am looking for, as i see the specs, reviews, and description too.

It is interesting to see if the company that made it is still alive, has more projects, read the "about us" of the web page, and the location of the headquarter.
