bazilisek: No, it apparently isn't. Doesn't matter. I'll add a note to the main list that it used to be DRM-free, but currently isn't. Thanks for spotting this.
As I stated, the serial key from the Steam version can be registered at Taleworlds to download a DRM free edition of the game. It's what I wound up doing after I was gifted the DLC via GG, which would not work with the Steam version.

So it is still available DRM-free from Steam, but in a roundabout way. I wouldn't totally dismiss it on the list.

Yeah, that's why I was kinda iffy on posting it. If you have a Steam-laden version, you can get around Steam. And even then it's not completely DRM-free since Taleworlds wants your key code only for installation. For many, that's close enough. For others, well, that's a choice for the buyer to make.

My apologies if I threw a wrench into the works of this thread.

The purpose of the thread is to collect information, so I'd say any information is welcome :)

I'll update the first post once the bug gets fixed. I don't have the source with markup and don't feel like manually adding a hundred newlines to it just to add one line.

You can copy the text from the post itself (rather than from the edit window), and you'll at least keep the newlines. Adding the markup to the copy-pasted text in notepad by looking at the post for reference is likely easier than adding newlines to the edit-box mess.

Yeah, I know. But it's easier still to wait; T promised the bug should be fixed relatively soon. I'm lazy.
This is a great post. Thanks for this info! It'll be really handy to have this list.

Would Retro City Rampage be one of them? I know if you buy from the game's website it's DRM-free...

I don't know if this is worth adding to the list, but the very, VERY first release-day version of Skyrim is also DRM-free on Steam, but it was patched REALLY quickly. There are easy ways of rolling the version back, but it is kind of a hassle.

Home is DRM free

MacGuffin Curse requires steam client

Anna can be run without the client, but you then need to activate it with the key

And the Bard's Tale needs steam also

All you really have to do is find the original launch-day tesv.exe file and replace it with your own. You'd have to find it online at this point. I don't know if it still works with all the updates, but I also haven't heard of anyone saying it stopped working.
Hey, I just noticed this thread. Awesome info.
It looks like Legendary is also DRM-free.

Hmm i guess it is not possible anymore. At least if you want to play with the latest patches.
