Ice_Mage: Lost in Play launched with no achievements (19 on Steam).
Thank you, I had noticed unfortunately. I'll add it to the list shortly.

StingingVelvet: I'm playing Forgive Me Father and the achievements don't unlock.
Has the new update also arrived on GOG? I hope they make them operational soon, they keep telling me they are working on them.

As noticed here, the Galaxy SDK now has a wrapper for Steam functionality, letting developers implement features such as leaderboards and achievements in minutes instead of hours. It's still in beta, but this may mean more games can have such functionality, with less work on the developer's part.

Wow, this is huge news, thanks for bringing it to my attention!

Would a Steam-wrapped Galaxy Achievement still work with Galaxy 1.2?

Or would Galaxy Achievements stop working with Galaxy 1.2 if they are Steam-wrapped?

I used the contact form on the official site before posting. I'll reply with an update if I ever hear anything back.

Cool. Thanks for pointing that out. I don't think it takes an unreasonable amount of effort to import achievements from Steam, but anything that gives developers fewer excuses not to bother is a welcome addition.

hey everyone i got a bugged achievement in a GoG game....Adventure Pals i played it like two years ago and beat the story 100% but 1 achievement is glitched...i tried unistalling the game and redownloading to see if that would help but nothing...i even tried doing the requirement over and nothing....any tips or am i screwed.

the one that is not working is related to getting your first cupcake...which is the games major item where every stage has like 5 cupcakes to get....and this actually should be the first achievement u unlock but it never did for me...and like i stated i got 100% in the story.

If I were you, this is what I'd try before attempting to unlock the achievement again:
1. Open File Explorer.
2. In the address bar, paste %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\
3. Move the Massive Monster folder to the desktop.

If that doesn't help, you can try downgrading (if available):
1. In GOG Galaxy, click the "More" button next to Play, and choose Manage Installation, then Configure.
2. Uncheck "Automatically update to the newest version" and select the previous version from the list (it probably says "1.9 - 4 years ago).
3. Click the OK button to downgrade.

Since it's been a while since you last played the game, also bear in mind for achievements to unlock, both GOG Galaxy executables and the game executable need Internet access through your firewall. Sometimes there are multiple executables, with a launcher that silently starts the actual game executable.

That wouldn't help. On rare occasions, deleting or otherwise fiddling with the saves or save metadata might be necessary, but those are unaffected by reinstalling or repairing the installation.

Bake Off has a global unlock rate of 20.7%. That suggests it's doable but the unlock requirements are obtuse. I would try getting the very first cupcake that appears in the game, as well as the first hidden cupcake.
GOGdb is showing a single update for this game, 3 months after release. So it's also possible the achievement was broken at that time (looking at you, Deponia games).

I will try these things and hope that they will work....only 2 achievements away from that 100%
...update just unlocked it by following your advice...thank you so much

Since you guys track broken cheevos etc, I figured I would ask this here: Is anyone else bothered by the low quality of achievement icons in galaxy compared to steam? In galaxy they use 60px60pix, while steam has 64x64pix - probably original/source, that's considerably sharper.

Here it gives off kinda amateurish bootleg vibes, some rookie mistake with scaling ... or maybe I'm just way too detail-oriented, while gog has much more pressing issues at hand than their blurry icons.

Yes, it's something that has been very annoying to me since the beginning, I'm glad I'm not the only one.

The problem is actually twofold: not only does GOG resize the icons by a few pixels compared to Steam, but they almost always displays the jpg version instead of the pgn version despite always having the best version in its database!
I said almost always, because for some games instead the icons are in png and you notice an infinitely better quality. Unfortunately, I've never figured out if it's the developers' fault or most likely some GOG setting. I also tried to report it to the support but obviously there was no change.

See for example the METAL SLUG achievement, these are the links to the two versions already uploaded to GOG, only we are shown the one in worse quality:
https://images.gog.com/d68f1e8e62a1d45b2dfab404426d7fc8e03e041543b18cd950ebf633ba6f5969_gac_60.jpg

The last thing, though, that pisses me off the most, is that Galaxy 2.0 in its feed shows achievements from other stores, like Steam, in the best png quality! If you have any friends who unlock achievements on Steam you will notice this immediately.

I have no idea why they always care about favoring their competitors in any way they can, it's as if they are telling us that if we want to see achievements in the best possible quality we better buy games on Steam.
All games released today have invisible achievements.

It's not a major bug, but it's a huge pain in the ass to contact GOG support / developers every single time to tell them to click a checkmark in the settings to make them visible. So GOG, please think of a way to fix this problem once and for all, maybe automate it with the official game launch so you don't waste our time and support's time.
Well I'm finally giving up on Wolfenstein II. I can't get the achievement "I'm Machine Enough" to pop there. I don't think it's broken because other players have got it, but it absolutely refuses to work for me, so I'll mention it here anyway. I've written a detailed post about my experience on the series' subforum:
https://www.gog.com/forum/wolfenstein_series/new_colossus_achievement_im_machine_enough_doesnt_unlock

EDIT: I was able to unlock it now. Not sure what helped in the end, but it confirms that it's not broken.

It seems as if Bright Memory Infinite achievements are completely broken.
Finished the game and was not able to unlock a single achievement (not even those you'll get by progressing the story). I am now downgrading to see if this helps. Also contactes Playism and told them about the issue.

Thank you for the report, it seems to be a case where the new version of the game broke the achievements, because I know many people who had unlocked them in the past.

Exactly. I can now confirm that version 1.06 is still working (started replaying the game and got a lot of achievements unlocked already - unfortunately not all that should have been unlocked since some only unlock the moment you got the achievement).
