dedoporno: I think this was the first game I mostly followed without actually taking part. Fun read and I was actually hoping Micro turns out to be scum and all of this was a brazen scum play but alas.
GG mafia!
Honestly,
even I wish Micro was scum. Lift made a theory that I, like him, wished were reality and not a fantasy.
This actually reminds me of one time I played Secret Hitler on Discord, with zeogold. At endgame, after he so saw many times that I suspected him to high hell, he came up with this theory with so many people conspiring against Liberals and of huge scope, that I wholeheartedly bought into it. I dunno who elected him as Chancellor, but he got voted in and BOOM he was Hitler. Fascists won. He named this strategy the "castle in the sky." And that's what Lift's Scum Microfish theory is, basically.
Anyway, Night 1...so why the heck did we off Cadaver? Easy. I saw the news about the new replacement and I read the name
Cadaver747 and the first thing I think was "fuck he's more dangerous than bookwyrm ALL PERSONNEL CHANGE PLANS" and bam, he was dead on the ground, instead of Bookwyrm. Yes, Bookwyrm was planned to be sleeping with the bizarro fishes from D1, but yogsloth convinced me to go for the new guy as a low info kill and I was convinced because Cadaver.
Night 2 I chose Bookwyrm anyway because yogsloth brought up the possibility Micro might be the remaining Half to Bookwyrm's Half. I banked wholeheartedly on this theory and offed Bookwyrm like I always wanted. And given what he's written in the observer, it wasn't a bad idea. And given Micro's survival gained him some suspicion...I honestly didn't anticipate that Micro would be suspected after that play. At all. It's kinda weird, but it worked in my favor as that led to me sparing Micro on N3 in favor of offing him, and then keep the "scumhunting" ongoing.
I'd like to add further thoughts but not sure where to begin, so I'll leave them at that for now. But I gotta say, Lift's
#521 was the best thing to happen to me this game, period.
