UPDATE: Last chance to grab your games from the original list! Make sure to get them until June 8, 12:59 PM UTC.

Want more games? We've got more games! Three new titles are now available through GOG Connect:

- Kona
- Defender's Quest
- Door Kickers

You can get them until June 13, 1:59 PM UTC.

Today, we're launching a new program called GOG Connect. The premise is simple: connect your Steam account and add your eligible games to your GOG.com library.

Whether you're checking us out for the first time or have been with us for a while, GOG Connect gets you DRM-free versions of your games, digital extras, and a whole lot of freedom of choice (like whether you go with the GOG Galaxy client or not). It gets you our take on game ownership, and we say: why buy the games more than once?

Thanks to our awesome partners including Deep Silver, Harebrained Schemes, Jonathan Blow's Number None, TaleWorlds and more, you can now add more than 20 games to your GOG.com library if you previously purchased them on Steam.

The full list of games will always be available on connect.gog.com, starting with these and more:

- The Witness
- FTL: Faster Than Light
- The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut
- Galactic Civilizations 3
- Trine Enchanted Edition
- Saints Row 2
- Shadowrun Returns
- The Witcher: Enhanced Edition

While GOG Connect will stick around, the available games will come and go. These are limited-time offers made possible by participating developers and publishers, so stay tuned as we bring new titles onboard in the future (and grab your copies before they go away)!

For a bit more library-building, a bunch of our favorite titles will also be discounted up to -85% all week long, including The Witness, Saints Row: The Third, System Shock 2 and more. You can check out all the deals here. The sale will last until June 6, 12:59 PM UTC.

Death_Masta187: I own Trine Enchanted Edition & Shadowrun Returns on steam but both are listed as "unavailable" when I connect my steam account to gog. :(
Is your Steam Profile set to public?
If yes, just give it some time.
If no, change it,

grynn: 12 games have been added from my Steam account. But I also had Witcher 2 and 3(+SP), but seems like only the first one is supported atm.
I'm sure they're just saving them for later. But in the meantime you can still claim Witcher 2 the old way
GOG, you keep coming up with awesome ways to surprise me.

I got 11 games added to my library this morning - what a way to start the day! :D

Thanks Team GOG!
I managed to activate 7 games. Other 5 didn't activate because I already had them on GOG and Van Helsing didn't work because I have the regular edition, not the final cut. So, no problems here.

Thanks GOG!

IT WORKED.

Whatever was wrong yesterday cleared up.

Braid and VVVVVV have now been added to my account, at no revenue to GOG, from old dusty bundle keys I redeemed on Steam.

Here's the way this worked - I never used Steam. I never had any intention of using Steam.

But yesterday, I downloaded and installed the Steam client for the first time ever. I started using it so I could add those two keys.

It's not that bad.

GOG, is that really what you wanted?
Correct me if i'm wrong, but I think there is no games with separate DLC in the current list, so maybe those specific games can't be included in the GOG Connect system currently !

There are:
- Galactic Civilizations III
- Surgeon Simulator 2013
- BIT.TRIP Runner

I don't see any reason why not.

The main hurdle is getting publishers to play nice.

All we can hope is there are more honest publishers
So far I have managed to link my accounts but GOGC keeps claiming that I have no games on my list. I own several ones like VVVVV and Braid, but I guess I'll keep trying.

Keep trying, it should work eventually. Just on the offchance that it isn't, make sure that your Steam profile set to public, otherwise Connect won't be able to read it.
Still doesn't work for me. I just hope it works once they add more. :)

My profile is public. I'm wondering if it's not working because my profile user name is different than my profile url. But you'd think it wouldn't matter with their API.
Mine is also not seeing the games. But I only just set it to public, so perhaps it will work later, I'll check again then.

Sorry, I misspoke. I meant that DLCs are not included in the GOG Connect system, only the base game.

Queue seems to be unstuck this morning, as many others have already discovered. This makes me happy. GOG library grew by 12 games.

This has to be one of the coolest things I've ever seen a company/website do. Thanks again, GOG (and to the software devs/publishers that allowed this to happen).

The Galaxy client is coming along nicely, and I use both it AND Steam. For those that have expressed concern in this thread, I honestly don't see Steam and GOG as direct competition. For me, at least, they serve two very different purposes.

I generally buy my older games here, because if (even in the rare case) they are also available on Steam, they ALWAYS run better over here because these GOG folks know what they're doing to make older games work on modern systems. I've been here a REALLY long time, and I've purchased stuff here DRM-free that I already owned on Steam just because GOG was having a good sale and/or I wanted to support the devs of a game I love. This is the home of all my HOMM and AD&D games and I love GOG to pieces for it. :)

Now, getting FTL, the Van Helsing Series, and Shadowrun DRM free here just by linking to my Steam account is the icing on the cake.

Steam/Valve isn't the devil. The client isn't adware or malware riddled (seriously, where do people come up with this stuff?) Personally, I think it's a great platform. But, I think GOG (Galaxy) is a great platform, too. It has a ways to go with client features, but it's getting there. GOG, though, is like the "feel good" version of Steam, IMO. DRM free, great support, good company, and a selection of games I can NOT get anywhere else (especially since I've moved to Windows 10).

I sincerely don't believe people are going to install the Steam client to activate a couple of keys and think, "Wow, this is so much better. GOG sucks now! kthxbye!" Different purposes, different game libraries, different clientele... with a little overlap.

It's not necessary to demonize Steam (with misinformation, no less) just to make GOG look good. GOG is damned good all on its own. And this connection of accounts to get DRM free versions of games we already paid for elsewhere is a really progressive move from the gaming devs/publishers involved, and a fantastic leap of customer service (and customer faith!) for the GOG team.

Long live GOG!
