Connect your Steam account and grow or jumpstart your GOG.com library.

UPDATE: Last chance to grab your games from the original list! Make sure to get them until June 8, 12:59 PM UTC.

Want more games? We've got more games! Three new titles are now available through GOG Connect:

- Kona
- Defender's Quest
- Door Kickers

You can get them until June 13, 1:59 PM UTC.

Today, we're launching a new program called GOG Connect. The premise is simple: connect your Steam account and add your eligible games to your GOG.com library.

Whether you're checking us out for the first time or have been with us for a while, GOG Connect gets you DRM-free versions of your games, digital extras, and a whole lot of freedom of choice (like whether you go with the GOG Galaxy client or not). It gets you our take on game ownership, and we say: why buy the games more than once?

Thanks to our awesome partners including Deep Silver, Harebrained Schemes, Jonathan Blow's Number None, TaleWorlds and more, you can now add more than 20 games to your GOG.com library if you previously purchased them on Steam.

The full list of games will always be available on connect.gog.com, starting with these and more:

- The Witness
- FTL: Faster Than Light
- The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut
- Galactic Civilizations 3
- Trine Enchanted Edition
- Saints Row 2
- Shadowrun Returns
- The Witcher: Enhanced Edition

While GOG Connect will stick around, the available games will come and go. These are limited-time offers made possible by participating developers and publishers, so stay tuned as we bring new titles onboard in the future (and grab your copies before they go away)!

For a bit more library-building, a bunch of our favorite titles will also be discounted up to -85% all week long, including The Witness, Saints Row: The Third, System Shock 2 and more. You can check out all the deals here. The sale will last until June 6, 12:59 PM UTC.
Kinda useless to me, not because I don't have any Steam games, but because I'd actually prefer buying games off GoG to support the DRM free market and play them on Steam because let's face it, it has way more quality of life features than GoG currently offers. It's pretty nice nontheless and I'll be using it to import my Steam games whenever possible.

Homever, as many other people are saying, it doesn't really work, right now, I managed to connect my accounts after about an hour, and it recognized the 4 games that I know I can transfer, but when I clicked the "add" button, they just dissappeared and they were not added to my account, I guess I'll check back tomorrow, or Friday.
Since it isn't working, it is hard for me to have an opinion about it. So far, it is just, "meh".
The form to log in to my Steam account isn't working. It just says "oops, something went wrong" and the loading animation keeps spinning.

terrisus: It's in GOG's privacy policy now.
Yes, it's a clause which is applicable if you use Steam. So don't use it.

I guess it's not easy to understand. It's screaming legalese with spooky phrases like

SURVIVES IN THE EVENT SUCH REMEDY FAILS
;)

May be such reading will help to understand it: http://www.cnet.com/news/richard-dreyfuss-reads-the-itunes-eula/

terrisus: No way.
Not a chance in the world am I agreeing to that.
You didn't realize GOG connect isn't mandatory, did you?
and you don't need steam account at all.. and if you don't have one, it doesn't apply to you! Wicked, isn't it?

as I stated on the very first page:
bloody hell..
I keep getting the error.. Oops something went wrong when I visit the page. I can't even get the chance to connect my account. :(

Edit: exact error: OOPS, SOMETHING WENT WRONG.

Please try again.

Same here....
After a whole afternoon of "Your account are being connected", now it shows "Oops, something went wrong". It also mentions "Please try again", but doesn't exactly explain how.

edit: seem like I'm not the only one.....

Is there a list somewhere, showing the games that currently apply, seeing as i to got the "oops" message, and i'm quite sure that hammering F5 wont really make it any better.

To quote what I said in another topic:
"I just want to ensure that, as long as one does not install this Trojan horse of a program, one can continue to use GOG without being subjected to that nonsense. "

No, it's not that. He is computer illiterate. He doesn't understand (or want to understand) what an API is. He thinks it's a "trojan" you see? =))) And since this information is publicly available and easily accessible (moreover since Steam's API is meticulously documented and can be tested out by anyone) I can only assume that this ignorance is willful. He is just one of those tinfoil hat people, that's all.

He didn't understand even when I explained as if to a child: https://www.gog.com/forum/general/gogs_new_agreements_with_valve_steam/post15

I'm sure quite a few of us have this, probably will sort itself out but please try again kind of made me feel like throwing up or just laughing uncontrollably.
