UPDATE: Last chance to grab your games from the original list! Make sure to get them until June 8, 12:59 PM UTC.

Want more games? We've got more games! Three new titles are now available through GOG Connect:

- Kona
- Defender's Quest
- Door Kickers

You can get them until June 13, 1:59 PM UTC.

Today, we're launching a new program called GOG Connect. The premise is simple: connect your Steam account and add your eligible games to your GOG.com library.

Whether you're checking us out for the first time or have been with us for a while, GOG Connect gets you DRM-free versions of your games, digital extras, and a whole lot of freedom of choice (like whether you go with the GOG Galaxy client or not). It gets you our take on game ownership, and we say: why buy the games more than once?

Thanks to our awesome partners including Deep Silver, Harebrained Schemes, Jonathan Blow's Number None, TaleWorlds and more, you can now add more than 20 games to your GOG.com library if you previously purchased them on Steam.

The full list of games will always be available on connect.gog.com, starting with these and more:

- The Witness
- FTL: Faster Than Light
- The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut
- Galactic Civilizations 3
- Trine Enchanted Edition
- Saints Row 2
- Shadowrun Returns
- The Witcher: Enhanced Edition

While GOG Connect will stick around, the available games will come and go. These are limited-time offers made possible by participating developers and publishers, so stay tuned as we bring new titles onboard in the future (and grab your copies before they go away)!

For a bit more library-building, a bunch of our favorite titles will also be discounted up to -85% all week long, including The Witness, Saints Row: The Third, System Shock 2 and more. You can check out all the deals here. The sale will last until June 6, 12:59 PM UTC.

BlueTemplar: So, I checked my Humble Bundle account, and I had Xenonauts not redeemed on Steam.

Just added them to Steam, will see how much time it will take for GoG Connect to pick them up!

(Does this mean we now have to redeem all our Humble Bundle Steam keys if we don't want to pass the (temporary!) opportunity of having them GoG Connect-ed when we aren't looking?)
avatar
Pheace: If you want to make sure you're not going to miss out during these time limited handouts then yes, we have no idea if/when they'll be back, if ever.
And Xenonauts are in! Took less than 2 hours...
Given that the update with the new games added to GoG Connect came 1 houor before Homeworld's GoG debut was announced, are there any plans to try and bring Homeworld to GoG Connect, particularly since up until now it wasn't possible to buy it here?
Is it me or Breach & Clear is already gone? Same for Project Zomboid

edit. saw the update, bummer

Rusty_Venture: I'm in the same boat, and it's been like that from day one. I get that this whole idea is a bonus, but it's still kind of annoying that it isn't working, given the limited time to connect this batch of applicable games.
Mine eventually went through, got up in the middle of the night for one last refresh before 12:59PM UTC, and they showed up as available. Here's hoping you got yours, too.

Kovaelin: Does Van Helsing 1 have to be the Final Cut version? I have the first game plus all the DLC already.
avatar
Accatone: Yes, it does have to be Final Cut. If you buy the 2nd and 3rd game on Steam, you can redeem the Final Cut for free through Neocore's Games Redeem page. Then connect your Steam account with your GOG account and you can also have the game on GOG.
Thanks for answering and providing those details!
Hi, I'm a bit confused atm because when the GOG Connect was first announced I thought hey! this is cool would be nice to have a semi-backup of my steam library elsewhere and I did the account connection no problem. However the check for the games took about 6 hours which I didnt mind too much because I expected a flood and lag to happen. When it finally got through it listed about 12 games available which I was glad for with a timer on each that I thought meant that would be the amount of time it would take to be added to my gog library after i clicked the "Add games" button. This was further re-enforced checking in a couple days later and seeing the timer on said games going down.

Today however i logged in and the games haven't been added and when I go to the GOG Connect page it tells me "No Eligible Games Found" so now I'm totally confused. Is there a delay or is the system bugged? Or did I just totally misunderstand the Connect page and have missed the chance to add the games to my library? If that's the case it really sucks tbh....
I was wondering a bit if there's anyone else who has been waiting for their accounts to connect since the second day, and that now that the offer for the first few games is over; it still hasn't connected (specifically waiting at the screen "your accounts are being connected")? : o

I couldn't get it to connect at all on the first day (June 1st?) of the offer; but the day after I finally got it to start trying to connect.
I'm however still stuck with it saying "Your accounts are being connected" (so I guess I missed out on the games).

It's not big deal; was just a little disappointed it didn't work in time; I get the impression that some people connected even later, and it went through for them much faster?

Everything should be set up fine for that it should work; so I simply wait.

My accounts seem to be properly linked, but it isn't picking up the games correctly. Defender's Quest: Valley of the Forgotten is in my Steam library, yet it says "Defender's Quest" is not found. It's the same game; Steam includes the subtitle but there's otherwise no difference :(
And it still doesn't see my Door Kickers. Not even as eligible to claim. Something's off here -_-

Did Steam have multiple versions of this game over the years?
Yeah I missed out too, what a shame. GOG Connect wasn't working for me until recently.

Lame. Missed out on FTL & Witcher by a couple of hours (initial steam privacy settings inhibited the process). Once corrected, it took so long to refresh I gave up figuring I'd come back later; alas, later appears to be too late.
Whatever, it still doesn't work for me. Nothing showed up before, and nothing shows up now. Accounts are connected and steam privacy is public, but still nothing. More than a few of my friends are in the same boat, so I don't know.

Like I said, I get that this is a bonus, that they get nothing from me connecting my games, and in no way do they owe me anything. That said, they did offer it, but f****d the dog and did it half-assed. GG GOG.

You can still get Witcher 1 (and also 2) through GOG's 'backup' program:

https://www.gog.com/witcher/backup

(So they never really needed to include the Witcher in the 'connect' program in the first place.)
