I have this game on another DRM-free site. I grew up in the 80's playing game like Zork, etc. and Warsim brings back those memories, but with tons more depth and mechanics and really challenging on the harder levels.

The game is portable so i carry it around on my USB drive so I can "Rule the Kingdom" whenever I want, haha. Definite insta-buy or actually, now, insta-bought! Glad to see it here in my GOG collection as well....

Though the game is still in development there is quite a bit of content to explore. I am sure there is more to come!

So is this a "coming soon" title or is it available for purchase? As of right now it is not the latter.

The post is confusing.

Update: okay it is for purchase. Good because this looks rather interesting. Will definitely get it.

Great, wishlisted!

I don't however get the Sys Requirements
RAM 512 MB
Disc 160 MB

for a text game; should be like ten times less? Or it pretends to be a text-based game by being rendered from (alas, procedurally generated) images?
looks interesting. wishlisted for now
It finally made it here! I read the dev tried many times, but GOG wasn't interested. I'm glad they changed their mind!

I had a quick look at Dwarf Fortress (classic, not the prettified version). They consider 512MB to be a bit on the low side. The Windows release already clocks in at 35MB and you would still need space to store the generated world information. Those system requirements don't look unreasonable to me, especially since terminals on Windows suck and you probably want to bring your own emulator to get a decent user experience.
The game requires Windows 7, which itself requires a minimum of 1 GB. Therefore complaining about a 512MB RAM requirement seems beyond pointless.
Hey guys! Just found this thread for the first time and I'll make sure I don't miss anymore of it

@Allope,

@TheCleaner517, Glad you like the look of it mate! If you do pick it up I hope you enjoy <3

@i_ni, I see what you mean, but the bulk of the filesize comes from the pretty huge number of sound effects, there are 1000s of events and things that can happen and also at least 5 different styles of procedurally generated ascii musicians who use random note combinations. All in all while the game itself is light, the sounds less so :)

@Niggles, Thank you for the wishlist mate :)

@MatrixRaven, Me too mate, thanks for the lovely comment :)
