altosy: Cool! First time I see a developer posting. Plan more Languages?

Thank you. Wish you sell much.
Hey mate,

This was my first ever game project and I made it originally just for myself, By the time it was released online (2017) it was already huge in size, during the development process I had requests for many other languages and also had tons of very kind people offer to translate the game into French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, and Chinese. Those people were awesome and it was such a kind offer, but due to the way the game has been coded to make it possible to change the text with other language versions it would require a massive overhaul of a game with over 650'000 lines of code.

I will keep this in mind for all future games and the dream is that from now on the games are made in a way that they can be modded with new languages easily

Thank you though and that's cool that you haven't seen a dev posting here. I'm very grateful to everyone who has picked Warsim up over the years, it's the sole reason I'm able to survive as a solo game dev for so long. An awesome community of people geniuinely interested in something I've poured my soul into haha.

Thanks for the lovely comment mate! :)

Thank you for the detailed response and the camaraderie!
I now understand. I wait for your next games :)
Out of curiosity, what sort of library, framework, or game engine does this game use to display its "graphics"?
This looks interesting. My only concern is the screen flicker that I see during the snail racing mini game as I'm sensitive to things like screen flickers. Although this game probably would allow me to outlaw snail races. If I can't enjoy snail races, nobody gets to.

Wishlisted for now.
ICYMI, because, once again there hasn't been the corresponding announcement via a news post - Warsim: The Realm of Aslona has left its "in development" phase for quite a while already (since end of December last year?).
