This game aims to raise the bar of city-building experience by adding a huge amount of possibilities and removing many annoying limitations. Ostriv from yevhen8 is now available DRM-free as the game in development on GOG.COM. Take the role of a governor of an 18th-century Ukrainian town, challenge your creative skills and management abilities.

Note: This game is currently in development. See the FAQ to learn more about games in development, and check out the forums to find more information and to stay in touch with the community
Keep Ukraine Green by all mean ^ Beautiful music, easy to love it. I want to go to 18th century and help to build happy neighbourhood. My type of game, I spent hours and hours on Banished, but Ostriv looks so in details in both physics and metaphysics. Sometimes I feel a bit guilty that I`am waiting for promotions to play building games of this deepness and character. Will go for it.
Slavic Banished anyone?
i know it's in development but .... no mention of at least a minimum req. CPU ?

CPU :??????????????????

Minimum system requirements: Windows 7/8/10
Memory: 2 GB RAM

Recommended system requirements: Windows 7/8/10
8 GB RAM

Graphics:

Anything with OpenGL 4.3 support
GTX 770 or better
Storage:
500 MB available space
Other:
As your town grows it'll require more system resources

Anyway it's not that bad info is not available yet and this game is not the kind of game i would play but i was curious about the missing CPU requirement cause a game also needs a CPU to run , haven't seen any game that runs with only a GPU.

Try to explain the metaphysic component of this game. I'm genuinely curious.

Sure, Thank you for this question. Let us take a definition first so we can keep to something.
From a search engine...
Metaphysics is the branch of philosophy concerned with the nature of existence, being and the world. Arguably, metaphysics is the foundation of philosophy: Aristotle calls it "first philosophy" (or sometimes just "wisdom"), and says it is the subject that deals with "first causes and the principles of things".

From my point of view it is connection with nature, that can be seen in a game, you can feel it, you can hear it in a music.
There is a freedom of choice how to build, but you depend on nature because you are a nature, Peoples relationships would be https://ostrivgame.com/home/ improved too. One can play sweet, organic, close to nature life, and see people being happy and look after their kids too as future carers of their beloved land and water. You feel like you have a power to help people to achieve their dreams of peaceful organic life with obvious real life problems. You became good Viracocha. Miles of metaphysics so far... ; ) Once we learn how to keep a balance down here, we will be able to keep a balance up there ^
Oh, look! It's Banished 2.0! ;)

I could have sworn this was on GOG already. Hm.

I think it was a "coming soon" news and now the game is available in "early access". ;)
I'll buy this when released. I look forward to it, maker. Sorry I won't do it now -- InDev doesn't appeal to me. As it is, I tend not to play games I buy until much later after a big round of post-release updates so I get the best experience when I have time to play it.

Tarhiel: Slavic Banished anyone?
That's the first thing that crossed my mind when I first saw it.
I love Banished but I also hate that it doesn't have some sort of "campaign" or "end-game". I would consider buying this, but I'd like to know if the game has some sort of end-goal or it keeps going forever until all peasants die or player dies of boredom.
I like the building process (judging by the video). Looking at construction is so meditative!
Well, and calm music adds the atmosphere of a gradually progressing rural village.
