First I was like "Puzzle? No, thanks" because they are a frustrating torture for my poor brain, but actually they mean a kind of "jigsaw puzzle" :-p

View the first video if you're interested, a developper explains the main mechanics. This game looks relaxing, fun and casual, there's a Tetris vibe to it (satisfying this universal urge of fitting things into the right place).

As I'm too lazy and unorganized to build an optimal city in a simulation, this game could give me the opportunity to build something cute the easy way.

Also, thanks for non violent and non combat games, seriously after killing millions of creatures in my long gaming carreer, I'm looking for alternatives.

It is romantic! ^ On it!
It looks both beautiful and relaxing! :)
If you're still on the fence about this a friend recently did a short review and let's play of this ...

It does look fairly chill and simple enough my 5 year old might enjoy it ... hmm ...
Townscaper
Cloud Gardens

would be titles in a more or less same vein.

Not familiar with another one called Islanders but heard/saw it mentioned quite a bit in reviews for Dorfromantik.
The demo felt pretty far along. I'm surprised this is an indev and not a release. Maybe the demo just hid it really well, or they have high ambitions.

I'd put this in the same category (and I bleeping love that game).

Also, I voted for all 3 of those. I was only aware of Townscaper previously.

Tried the demo just now. Very pleasant and relaxing. Will wait for the full release. :)
Looks peaceful and all but the tutorial demo lost me, it's not clear as to what to do and how systems work... maybe work on that? :)

Or you could, you know, play the tutorial instead?
If my 12-year-old could get the basics, I'm sure you can too.
Nice to have it here, instabought.

However... the news post mentions "a 15% discount" yet the game actually sports a 14% discount...? Steam got the 15% calculation right ;)

To give my two cents, I played the demo like four times, and it was really charming and relaxing. I can't wait to play more of it later. :D I also really enjoyed the music and sounds were calming and not intrusive or annoying. I will see how it goes when I played for a longer time, but I doubt I will hate it.
Lovely looking game.
A relaxing puzzler. And as a bonus a really nice view. Thanks.
