Breja: I think it's distinctly better than a "where is my Steam key OMG GOG sucks!" thread :P
Or where is my steam version of nvidia Witcher 3:)

tinyE: are we seriously having a fight in here? :P

Here is a suggestion. GOG create a separate page where any two people can log on and play Mortal Kombat against each other to resolve any differences. :D
hm, I thought you are on limited bandwidth :P

Barefoot_Monkey: It's not something to complain about. It's a sign of increased exposure, which is a good thing. A bunch of people who are unfamiliar with GOG come to check it out and ask questions, some of them decide to stick, GOG's userbase improves a bit, thereby becoming a more attractive sales portal, and thus we all get some some more games :)
Although, it'd be ideal if GOG were the ones actually doing the welcoming than us, since it is their store and all.

What do you mean me? I get along with everybody! :P

HunchBluntley: Okay.
It's just that you made it sound like this was a necro'd thread, or that marky_svk had posted before in another thread, or something.
Not at all ;)
It was more the other way round. When did somebody here reused an old thread instead of making 10 new ones ;)
(not talking about a certain user here though ;) )

mechmouse: Been a while since I used it but launching a non-steam game via Steam give you access to overlay functions such as chat and fps. It will record hours played, but not achievements as they would need to use the Steamworkds API.

I don't know how import, letting people know he's killed his first rat is to him.
okay didn't know that one, I knew that Galaxy allowed you do to this. (importing games). Thanks for the info!

I would know at least 2 who disagree with you there :P
EDIT: And at least one of him would me thinks try to spend too much time with you

I would be doomed to forever be the loser of all arguments here:D I suck at fighting games like you wouldn't believe.

Don't worry ;)
But was mechmouse right or me?
Bit curious.
And even if it is the same price, GOG is the better place to spend the money ;) (No, I am not getting any percentage of the deal)

Why didn't you participate in the Treasure hunt? This would have avoided ME getting beaten up twice ;)

Welcome to the GOG forum. Once an answer has been given (or at least if the forum populations assumes the answer has been given), the threads do usually become free for all. We do usually stop and add extra info if the one with the questions requires more info, but off topic is the usual direction the threads go.
Weirdly enough, this madness works.

And part of this madness is that quite a few of us like teasing each other a wee bit, which sometimes might look like a fight ;)
And JMich since when was any thread on topic, isn't it by default already considered off topic to answer a question? (IIRC)

Well, if it helps, GOG is a sister company to CDPR, the developers of the game, so you'd essentially be supporting the company more by buying here; also, it's DRM free here, no client required.
On the other hand, if Steam features are important to you, they'll probably have it discounted to a comparable price in the next couple months. (Galaxy doesn't yet offer a lot of the features people have gotten used to in Steam.) Plus, if the previous two Witcher games are anything to judge by, there's a good chance the GOTY edition will eventually be offered for free here to people who bought the PC version elsewhere.

There were a few threads that politely asked to be kept on topic, though I don't recall any specific at this point. I believe one must have been one of the "Try Linux" ones, or some of the more technical in nature.
And we only go off topic once the question has been given an answer, not before answering it. Usually.

ok agreed in general, but the technical ones are rather limited anyway . Geeks only, without a control ;)
And some others, no need to mention.
So madness at its best ;)
Right, thank y'all again for the juicy info ^^

So did we answer your question? :O
Mechmouse or me?
Or still looking for something?
