jonridan: Limbo kinda dissapointed me after the whole "forest area". Once it goes full "factory" setting I just had to force myself to finish it. Loved the ending though... and that damn spider (not part of the ending :P)
i sorta agree. the "factory setting" is useful for part of it's story telling device, but the "puzzles" become way more finicky. one real issue with it is your control of the protagonist, who's a little floaty and doesn't always /quite/ respond when you want him to. which makes those sections especially tedious, because sometimes, you can see what to do, but getting the protagonist to do them is a bit of a chore.
that combined with limbo's [sometimes] affinity for killing you as a result of bits of the puzzle you haven't seen before [the mine cart ride comes to mind - if you didn't set up the mine cart, initially, you would be electrocuted - which - the first time around - isn't something you're cognizant of] is somewhat bad design, to my mind.
i love the stark experience of limbo, but sometimes, the execution leaves something to be desired.
