So, now GOG will ban all the trolls and alts who reported tinyE, right?
Suure..

Wishbone: Well, at the very least it shows that for once, the official community manager is actually interacting with the community. I think this is a good sign, although given GOG's track record over the past few years, I'm not getting my hopes up for any real change.

omega64: Interacting is a strong word.
They could've owned up to it in this thread. :P
Very well, reacting to the community then. It's still more than their usual policy of sticking their fingers in their ears and going "La la la la la! I can't hear you!"

GOG must be drunk. Out of all the possible things someone can warn you about, insulting behavior is about the last of them. It's ok. If they ban tinyE we can just bombard them with way too may support tickets, emails, and travel cards to their office in order to drive them crazy and revert the decision. Who's closest to Poland to send the physical mail?

Why ban them? I'd like them to stick around and explain themselves.

Nah, they don´t deserve a chance to explain themselves or rather he doesn´t deserve a chance to do that.

No. Leave them be. I want to study their habits.

GOG is maturing (albeit slowly) as it becomes a larger market presence and CDProjekt grows in importance. I fear this could be just the beginning of more frictions between management and the populace so to speak.

Not sure if I should wish for said maturation, but then I remember Steam forums... and remind myself of Sylla and Charybdis.

Fine, you can study them, but if they multiply don´t come running to us wondering why they got out of hand. :P
They´re like gremlins...fucking pests :/

Because it's the usual accounts owned by the usual bad people.
We tried talking to him\them various times, but there's no reasoning with him\them.

tinyE: Now I'm off to try to get Abigail to marry me. Her purple hair drives me wild! :P
OK, I came here to be supportive and stuff, but choosing Abigail over Leah? Now, that's crossing the line and asking to get banned!

zeogold: Konrad changed his tagline to "#FREETINYE". I'm not sure what significance this holds.
haha

that's fucking brilliant

Firebrand9: Dynamic IP's aren't as dynamic as you think btw. Check your external IP sometime and track it. This is day one networking knowledge.
avatar
cogadh: This cannot be stressed enough. My so-called "dynamic IP" from my ISP not only did not change for almost half a year of tracking, it also persisted despite numerous modem reboots during the tracking period. Basically if your ISP says they are using a dynamic system, it just means that your IP can change, not that it actually does on a regular basis.
Well, this can really be different from one ISP to another.
I’ve two Internet access, both with dynamic IP (different ISP). One changes roughly once every two years, the other one can change multiple times a day!

Most probably that he understand what has been going on here, and that he actually agree with us?
I think some people have been a bit harsh towards GOG here, to me it seems they fixed their mistake quite quickly. You (this is a global "you" here, not a zeogold "you") should try places like Steam forums or RPGCodex some time, you’ll realize easily that GOG forums are actually a good place ;)
high rated
Huh, so this seems a little awkward.

Just to clarify, yeah it was I who messaged TinyE. Probably came off way more harsh than I had intended, but I was mostly hoping reach out, talk, and figure out what's up.

Wasn't intended to be a big, scary warning based on all those... uh... forum rules we have here. Ain't no one getting banned out of the blue like that.
