It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Titanium: Can one of you young'uns tell me if GOG downloader is even a thing by this point. I'm confused and this probably isn't even my lawn you're supposed to get off of.
Used it about a month ago and it worked well.

Lifthrasil: Yes. So much for 'Galaxy will always be optional'.
Well you can download, install and play games without; it how is it not optional ?

Optional means that's it's not required... not that they have to continue support an outdated tools having similar functionalities.

SirPrimalform: Honestly I'm surprised that it only just stopped working. They announced they were dropping support for it ages ago.

Lifthrasil: Yes. So much for 'Galaxy will always be optional'.

But luckily for me the Downloader still works.
It's still optional as long as they support browser downloads. I'm surprised you managed to interpret that as "we'll support the downloader forever and ever".

Yes, I know. Technically browser download is an option. But it requires a fast, stable internet connection. Those that don't have that depend on some kind of downloader software and if the GOG downloader stops working, one has to use third party downloaders. Next step: GOG will block third party downloaders for 'security reasons', forcing more people to use Galaxy, while still technically keeping it optional. Since you can, theoretically, always try browser download (and fail to get working installers). Am I cynical? Yes. But don't worry. GOG will make the reality catch up to my cynicism sooner or later.

cemacar: I'm using Windows 10(pro) Where is the log file and how can i check it?
avatar
Pajama: Not sure if it's the same but In Win 7 it's in C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Local\GOG.com

I often have the same problem and what I do to fix it is to close GOGDownloader completely (by using the exit button) then I delete the log file at the above location and then try downloading again. This always clears any problems for me and allows downloads again - until the next time and I have to do it again! Hope this helps.
I tried that but didn't worked :/

Thank you everyone who tried to help me but I give up. I don't think there is a way to solve this problem without clean os install.

Don't give up yet.

Did you check the log?

Do a complete uninstall, delete any leftover files and folders, then re-download the GOG Downloader and install it anew. Try to download something, see how it goes, check the log, and report back here.

You catholics have so much faith.
What are the advantages of GOG Downloader over the regular browser downloads or download managers?
(Other than resuming partial downloads, which was already mentioned.)

It's a bit more convenient, at least for games which are split into several files. Download via browser might be unstable and slower (only one connection compared to a download manager), and even with a download manager sometimes I had a broken file and had to re-download.

Are some websites blocked in Uzbekistan? Here in China I cannot use the GOG Downloader (same problem as you) and GOG Galaxy because the content provider edgecast is blocked here. Only direct download links work.

tinyE: I gave up on it a while ago.

I refuse to go the Galaxy route so I'm using DownLoadThemAll and it's working great.
Does it actually work for looooooooooooong queues (several dozen files) if you start/close your browser && || computer? Because I'm giving Galaxy a shot and it's uselessly meh at best.

God, I miss GoG Downloader.

God, I miss GoG Downloader.
It saves progress so you can always pause, turn it off, come back later.

That is a must because I lose my connection constantly.
I believe that the downloader can't work if two-factor authentication is enabled for the GOG account.
